The Goffs Claire Mactaggart Charity Gala – Live Auction Lot 2 ✨ A Gift of Comfort for Steven Goodall, Living with MND kindly donated by Chrystie's Furnishing Centre At just 58, Steven Goodall from Edinburgh was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2025. He had been looking forward to retirement and the precious moments it would bring with his family. Instead, he is facing the heartbreaking reality of a condition that progressively affects movement, independence and breathing. This special lot will fund an Archerfield 5 Royal Lift and Tilt Recliner Chair, gifted directly to Steven to provide comfort, support and assistance with the everyday challenges that MND brings. This cause is deeply personal to us, inspired by the extraordinary comfort and support Claire found in her own recliner chair during some of her bravest days. By bidding, you can make a tangible difference to Steven’s life. More than a chair, this is a gift of comfort, dignity and independence — helping Steven face the difficult days with a little more ease, while making precious time with his family that bit more comfortable.
