🚨🇮🇹 Fabrizio Romano: “Sources in Italy are telling me that Antonio Conte has AGREED with Manchester United over becoming their new manager. Contract discussions have progressed, and an official club statement regarding Michael Carrick is expected. The Bournemouth result was the final blow for Carrick. He was aware that his position was under serious threat, and the club’s hierarchy have now decided that a change is necessary. INEOS believe Manchester United need an elite manager with a proven track record of winning major trophies to turn the situation around. They want the best possible manager to lead this project, and Conte is viewed as a strong candidate to bring discipline, a winning mentality and a clear identity back to Old Trafford. The next announcement from the club is now eagerly awaited.
