Galmudug’s new leader, Liibaan Ahmed Hassan, has handed over privately owned vehicles, weapons and military supplies to the regional security forces.
The handover took place in Dhusamareb in the presence of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, a day after Liibaan’s inauguration.
Liibaan said the equipment would become the permanent property of Galmudug, strengthening the state’s security institutions and supporting the fight against Al-Shabaab.
