No room in the library due to the book fair? Raining outside? No problem. Pictionary in the auditorium for specials it is. @goochelementary
Our Leamos Juntos event was a success! Pre-K teachers read to their students and their parents. Ms. Jones read to our other classes and did a how-to-draw activity with "Pacho Nacho" by Silvia Lopez. @DISD_Libraries @goochelementary

Environment matters—and learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door! 🌎 Gooch teachers have transformed their hallways into extensions of the learning environment, immersing students in the countries and cultures they are studying. 🐊

Yesterday was Rock Collecting Day. We celebrated by reading "A Rock Can Be..." by Laura Purdie Salas and then made our very own rocks. Gooch Gators are so creative. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
Gators celebrated International Dot Day by reading "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds in art class and "Mix It Up" by Herve Tullet in the library. Students then made their very own dots as well as some window art. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
This week we read "The Sad Little Fact" by Jonah Winter. While the older grades had a refresher course on researching through Gale, the littles began their research journey with PebbleGo and they loved every second of it. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
We have some architects in the making here at Gooch. I love the creative process and watching our Gators problem solve together. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
We enjoy reading "Miss Nelson is Missing" by Harry Allard at the beginning of each year. Students had a blast creating their own Missing Teacher posters afterwards. Go Gators! @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
Gooch Gators started the school year off strong with some introductions, library rules and procedures, and of course some fun centers. Let's make it a fantastic school year! @goochelementary
