We know how important to have credible data and locally-specific guidance when working on #WaterStewardship. That's why it was very nice to bring our knowledge and experience on Water Stewardship and #collectiveaction in Spain to the development of this resource for @_A4WS
We are excited to share our latest report, "Water Stewardship: Understanding the Agricultural Landscape in #Spain" with #EDEKA & @WWF
This comprehensive, easy-to-use resource provides a look at applying the AWS Standard in Spanish #Agriculture.

The report provides advice & links to methodologies, resources and #datasets to make life easier for those interested in #WaterStewardship in the Spanish agri context.
We hope it supports creating #capacity & uptake of Water Stewardship practice in 🇪🇸!

GSI 2022 Festive Season greetings. Live simple, dream big, and have a healthy and joyful 2023! - mailchi.mp/30c7b741b642/gsi-…
@_A4WS #A4WS2022 forum closed today, and we are glad to have been able to attend virtually. Congrats to the staff that made it possible! 👏
We saw good participation, case studies and #engagement. The AWS movement grows and we’d love to see more #connecting in the future: 👇
#connecting the top-down AWS standard approach with the bottom-up detail on the farmer and #landscape reality. This is generally a gap in #waterstewardship implementation. We need local knowledge and expertise to really translate Water Stewardship to ground level actions.👇
#connecting initiatives, ideas, tools, either linked or not to AWS or the AWS standard and not letting competition limiting it. #Water issues are too urgent and resources too limited not to support and collaborate! 🤝
From the heart of #Doñana national park 🦩, workshopping with @Iberhanse_N @WWF & #edeka planning actions on #waterstewardship, innovative #water solutions and #collectiveaction at the #catchment level. #connecting with great people on the ground in such an amazing location!

Biodiversity is being lost at an alarming rate and climate change is making it worse.
We depend on biodiversity for...
🍎The food we eat.
🌬️The air we breathe
💧The water we drink.
Without it, life as we know it wouldn’t exist

Day 1 of Global @_A4WS Forum: The good news: #waterstewardship community is rapidly growing. The less good news, collective action for #water and catchment #resilience remains really behind. Why do we not #collaborate? Missing critical debate on that.
Amidst droughts in #Europe, drinking water cuts in #LatinAmerica and heatwaves in South #Asia, the Global @_A4WS Forum starts tomorrow in Edinburgh, Scotland. We hope it will drive a stronger and deeper engagement in #WaterStewardship to tackle the serious global water issues💧
There is a disconnect between the generic nature of the AWS standard and the complex reality of farmers. Like any change in #agriculture, implementing water stewardship is a long term and time consuming task, and requires #connecting water stewardship with farmers and landscapes
To drive and scale implementation of #waterstewardship in agriculture, investment in the social and technical capacities of people supporting the implementation of water stewardship in #agriculture is the key and logical thing to do. Tell us what you think!
