This is the ALP improving animal welfare. Killing off markets for sheep meaning they’re shot on farm instead of used as food.

Aussie lamb prices compared to the rest of the world....yes we are selling a lot of lamb, but whats the point when you are undercutting the rest of the world (besides NZ) to do so?
There is something seriously wrong in our prime lamb industry.

Merino breeders are hoping full eating quality and carcase assessment industry-wide will improve the standing of their lamb carcases among processors who discount them in saleyards and over the hooks

All settled, eating and resting within 30 minutes of loading. Look at that space. Under allometric stocking densities all sheep can sit down at once. #keepthesheep

A rare misstep by @MurrayWatt - anyone who cares to look can see the Australian live sheep trade is the best in the world. The industry has moved so far beyond the terrible incident 6 years ago & has committed to continual improvement. It deserves a reward - not a punishment.

Well done Claye and Malcolm, takes innovative, committed leaders like yourself to show the way. Non mulesed and RWS accredited now days puts the cream on the top for wool sales. Worth everyone over that way to go along and see how it is done. Top job.
We are stepping out and running a farmer to farmer hands on workshop day, showing how we have made the step towards mules free merinos successfully, feel free to hit either of us up with any more questions about the workshop
