It’s not just staff wellbeing that’s important staff should feel valued and respected for their work and time in service and acknowledging where you can’t meet their aspirations but showing that you still care. A lot of people becoming managers, matrons, CDs lack or lose this.

Who knew that neonatal baby would be a neonatal nurse nearly 30 years later.
How units have changed, our unit looks so bright a vibrant in comparison. This was the NICU at the northern general in Sheffield, no longer there

You’d think as a nurse I’d have mastered opening tablet boxes on the opposite side to where the leaflet it (you know what I mean). Despite it being a 50/50 chance, at least 80% of the time I seem to hit the leaflet 🤷🏼♀️

After my preceptorship study day today, I downloaded ‘Joshua’s story’ by James Titcombe and whilst I’ve been in tears in the first 2 chapters I can say it’s one of the most powerful things I’ve ever read. What an amazingly strong family and I’m so very sorry
