The leak has released thick plumes of potentially toxic smoke into the surrounding atmosphere Exposure to the chemical may cause respiratory problems, eye irritation, and lung irritation, with reports of symptoms extending beyond the designated evacuation zone. Traffic cameras have captured massive plumes of smoke reportedly visible from approximately six miles away from the incident site.
