🚨 World Bank's Neelkanth Mishra : Tax cuts won't bring foreign investors back. Higher US returns and India's complex rules are the real problem. India needs simpler processes and clearer regulations.

Went through the first 22 companies selected by India’s Technology Development Board under the ₹1 lakh crore RDI Fund. Some interesting patterns in what India is choosing to finance: • ~25% of the funding is going to space: Agnikul — reusable launch vehicle Manastu — green spacecraft propulsion Dhruva Space — mass-producible 500 kg satellite platform Astrome — space-based AI/ELINT constellation GalaxEye — optical + SAR Earth observation • ~21% is going to aircraft and drones: ePlane — indigenous electric aircraft ideaForge — heavy-lift VTOL UAV EndureAir — 200+ kg payload unmanned helicopter So almost half of the first ₹2,192 crore in RDI financing is going to space, aircraft, and drones. Then there are enabling technologies: • BigEndian — indigenous AI-vision chip • QNu Labs — quantum communications and sensing • Tejas Networks — 5G-Advanced/6G equipment • Multi Nano Sense — MEMS sensors + analog-front-end SoC • e-TRNL — advanced Li-ion cells • Neo-Seekermetals — critical-metal recovery • ThinkMetal — metal additive manufacturing Much of this funding companies to get from TRL 4–6 → TRL 9 journey — testing, qualification, scale-up, and commercial deployment. The first 22 projects represent ₹4,744 crore, backed by ₹2,192 crore in RDI financing.

India trains more chartered accountants than almost any country, yet four foreign brands took an estimated ₹51,000–52,000 crore from India in FY26. PM Modi rightly asked on September 5 why India has no Big Four of its own. The answer is a 1949 law and the government's own tenders 🧵

🚨TDB pauses fresh RDI Fund applications to clear backlog as over 230 deep-tech proposals pile up So far, TDB has committed around Rs 2,900 crore across 35 projects, while another set of proposals is at different stages of evaluation, people familiar with the matter told Moneycontrol. The board has also received around 175 proposals between June and September alone. The sharp increase in applications has led TDB to pause fresh proposals while it processes those already in its pipeline. “The demand has been much higher than what was initially expected, and the evaluation process is fairly detailed. The technical and financial aspects of each proposal have to be assessed, which takes time. The pause is not because the funds from the government have not come through,” said a person familiar with the matter. By @AryamanGupta_ moneycontrol.com/news/busine…

This breakthrough move required the necessary time and scaling up of UPI before introducing. With the fee revenue, not only will cybersecurity investments become possible for the payment service providers, but also innovation to the 2.0 version of UPI to deliver far more products beyond just payment and even credit ! Vsionary move by honourable finance minister. Thank you Madam @nsitharaman 🙏🏽 @RBI 👍🏽

This middle class madam you see here pulling her own luggage, always dressed humbly, with a no-nonsense attitude? She needs a big applause for what India has pulled with a 7.8% growth during one of the toughest global economic climate year. She has delivered consistent growth for India, maneuvering India through multiple crises, while keeping inflation low and reducing deficit. She just doesn't get enough credit for what she has done. In fact, she gets hate and mockery mostly. I think just because she's a woman. > She has cleared 10 lakh crore NPA from banks > Delivered 7.6%+ avg GDP growth for past six years (after Covid, Ukraine war, Gulf war and trade war with USA) > And cut income tax up to 13 lakhs and indirect tax to 9% at its lowest > Done so many things for India better than all those Oxford, Cambridge economists before But most people are being constantly blackpilled about the economy by foreign adversarial and political propaganda. They keep parroting "high tax" "high inflation" as if everything was lower before. But the truth is, they were much higher and she has brought all down (taxes, deficit, NPAs, and inflation) while keeping growth good. Even under this post we will find people complaining because that's how powerful the propaganda is. It is easy to blackpill and make people feel miserable when actually things are better now than before in so many ways.
Replying to @aravind
I will give it to the FM @nsitharaman. She has been a super performer in govt. She has taken India through multiple crises with tight control on deficit, inflation, with good GDP growth. Of course PM needs credit for the vision and former RBI governer too. xitter.cf/aravind/status/1800169…

Brits murdered 35 million of us, contrived 12 devastating famines, looted $45 trillion, reduced India to an opium economy, broke us in two, left us with a life expectancy of 32 years. But we survived. India is beautiful because Indians are beautiful. Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳

Houseful audience @CIC_Chennai for a captivating discussion on Shri @SeshasayeeR novel, The Grammar of Silence. The book masterfully weaves three distinct strands across 500 years of Tamil history—from 17th-century patriarchy to the progressive leaps of the last 150 years, anchoring an emotive story of women’s liberation. Enlightening perspectives shared alongside literary scholar Akhila Ramnarayan & heritage expert Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan.
