Nope...not for me! ๐
This years John Lewis Christmas ad, in summary.
Nan needs a hug, rude kids barge past her, ignoring her completely.
Kids don't like Nans childhood presents, so Nan goes out shopping to John Lewis to buy things they like to placate them.
Nan eventually gets her hug, when the spoilt grandkids get the presents they want.
Oh, and a rickshaw ride round London for good measure!
An absolutely dreadful story of kids attitudes towards the elderly today, and blatant consumerism - I for one, won't be shopping there this year! ๐ ๐

TEMU ROYALS TAKE NOTE: THIS is how you marry into the Royal Family!!
Peter Phillips's wife Harriet gave her first interview today and says Catherine is the one she would always feel comfortable asking for advice. Meghan told Oprah that Catherine made her cry.
Harriet spent 24 years as an NHS nurse, specialising in infant mental health. She married Queen Elizabeth's eldest grandchild in June, lives quietly on Princess Anne's Gatcombe estate, and her very first patronage is Home-Start Cotswolds, a charity that supports young families who are struggling.
Now the public record from the other side:
March 2021: Meghan told Oprah the reverse of the crying story was true, and that Kate had made HER cry before the wedding.
In the same interview she complained there was no class on how to be royal.
January 2020: the Sussexes announced they were stepping back, having already filed to trademark "Sussex Royal".
December 2022: a six-part Netflix series. January 2023: Spare.
Let's think about that.
One woman married in, picked a patronage helping new mothers and found a friend in the future Queen.
The other went on Oprah.
