Dig into our summary of the first 'State of MDS' survey, live on the blog. 75 individuals across 60 organizations worldwide responded and shared how they use MDS, including many smaller cities. We are using the results to guide development, documentation, and workshops.
Results are in! From insights about the use of different versions, APIs, and beta features to who is using MDS around the world - we're happy to share key findings from last month's survey. Dive into the findings on our blog today 📊 openmobilityfoundation.org/s…

As CDO with @LouGovIT I was able to help build open source tools for cities with partners like @GovInTheOpen, @IFTTT, @Waze, @awscloud, @carto, and @heyslingshot, & this role with OMF will continue that work: building free tools to help cities manage the public right of way. 3/x

Are there any other cities that have deployed @Waze WARP from @GovInTheOpen that aren't listed here? Also you should totally deploy this project. github.com/LouisvilleMetro/W… @LouDataOfficer #CFASummit

We in brigades and city gov have been releasing open source code for a while, with minimal reuse. I think if we 1) write it as infrastructure-as-code in the cloud it becomes a platform to build on and easy to redeploy ( see github.com/LouisvilleMetro/W… ) and 2)...

And not just standards. More importantly we need to collectively build tools (if companies won’t build them for cities) that we can all use to make sense of the data, and not build tools/use cases independently. See the @GovInTheOpen Waze project as an example.

Thank you @edblayney & @LouDataOfficer & @GovInTheOpen. I just ran the @MSPowerBI @waze template on 9 months of #Anchorage traffic data. Still tweaking & working w/ @CodeForAnc to refine but looking hugely promising. #opensource @WhatWorksCities #collaboration

We heard ST Mayer talk a bit about this on Tuesday. It is against our values to have our tax dollars pay for one installation of an already built proprietary software system. There is a better way! & we have a financial imperative to pursue it. #mepolitics
