A great day for Wyoming!
Honored to join @GovernorGordon to accept the largest single private gift in @NatlParkService history, creating a permanent source of funding to support the stewardship, maintenance and conservation of Yellowstone National Park.
Thank you @Blackstone, @TallgrassEnergy and @ynpforever for your support!
Wyoming continues to prove we are an energy powerhouse. From the extraction of yellow cake to the production of clean, efficient nuclear energy to power America's future, Wyoming is on the forefront. It was my pleasure to join my fellow western governors and our counterparts in the United States Senate for this tour of the next phase of a new generation nuclear power plant by TerraPower in Kemmerer today. Thank you @TerraPower @GovCox @GovernorLittle @SenJohnBarrasso

My statement regarding today's Wyoming Supreme Court Decision:
"Since I first ran for Governor in 2018, I have been clear that Wyoming has a constitutional responsibility to provide every child with a quality education. That responsibility is not optional, and it is one we must take seriously. At the same time, I have consistently said that our school finance system must be based on the actual cost of providing that education, be sustainable for Wyoming taxpayers, and give local communities the flexibility to determine how best to serve their students.
Today’s decision by the Wyoming Supreme Court provides important clarity. The Court affirmed that the Legislature must address the true cost of teacher salaries and follow the statutory process for evaluating and addressing inflation in the school funding model. The Court also rejected several additional requirements imposed by the district court, recognizing that the Legislature retains responsibility for determining how Wyoming meets its constitutional obligation and that school districts need appropriate flexibility to serve their communities.
More spending, by itself, is not a measure of a successful education system. The responsibility before us is to ensure that investment reflects the actual cost of education, supports our teachers and students, and produces the outcomes Wyoming families expect. Funding is a means to an end; that end should be a Wyoming student who graduates prepared for further education, meaningful work, military service, and productive life in his or her community.
We also have to build a system that Wyoming can sustain. A school finance model must work in years of strong revenues and in years when revenues decline. We cannot continue to revisit the same fundamental questions every few years. We need a durable, transparent and constitutionally sound system that provides predictability for schools while protecting Wyoming taxpayers.
The Court has provided the Legislature with clear guidance. Now it is time to do the work. I am confident that the Legislature can approach this issue in the same spirit that has guided Wyoming through previous school finance challenges - carefully, collaboratively and in good faith.
Our goal should remain straightforward: meet our constitutional obligation, support our teachers and schools, use taxpayer dollars responsibly, and ensure that every Wyoming student has the opportunity to succeed."
Today is the one year anniversary of the tragic death of Charlie Kirk. I had an opportunity to meet him on the campaign trail in 2022. Foster Friess brought Charlie to an event and I will be forever grateful to have met the young man. I knew he was a man of strong convictions that had real leadership potential. Certainly he went on to fulfill much of that potential.
Charlie understood the times we are living in - a time that has led many to wrongheadedly support a dangerous form of moral policing. Policing that threatens the very fabric of our democratic processes. He said, “When we stop talking, bad things happen.” Charlie’s tragic and premature death reminds all Americans to continue to engage one another with civility in the public square without fear of suppression or intimidation.
Superintendent Degenfelder and I have been working on this effort to protect Wyoming’s kids from Big Tech’s increasingly sophisticated and pernicious efforts to tantalize them to unfiltered social media. Today @Meta acknowledged its responsibility by agreeing to settle $12.2 million (Wyoming). This is a good day for Wyoming’s kids and their parents.
I want to thank @SenJohnBarrasso for his leadership on the important issue of beef production in the U.S.A. I would echo his sentiments that Americans and Wyomingites want US beef on our tables, not foreign imports. Our ranchers work year round and provide the best quality protein on the market - Wyoming beef. They deserve a fair marketplace. I applaud Senator Barrasso for his leadership on this issue. I stand ready to help in any way I can to ensure Wyoming ranchers can fairly compete in the marketplace.
Americans want US beef on the table – not foreign imports. Wyoming ranchers produce the highest quality beef in the world. Our ranchers don't ask for special treatment. They simply want a fair marketplace. It needs to be easier – not harder – for Wyoming ranchers to feed America. I will continue to fight for policies that strengthen Wyoming beef producers and invest in the American cattle herd.
This action by Nevada is a little like arguing about how fast to drive when our fuel gauge is reading empty. Mandatory cuts of Wyoming’s water come from drought, not federal decisions, and no amount of federal action can make it rain. We are all along on this journey and crashing faster doesn’t help any of us.

Thanks to Wells Fargo for coming alongside the Wyoming Housing Network with a $1M contribution for the construction of Goodwill Landing, an affordable housing community being built in Casper. I am grateful for the call to action conversation with Mike Rowe (Mike Rowe Works/Dirty Jobs), Melissa Noah (WHN), Jason Mackie (InOurHands) and Jason Rosenberg (Wells Fargo). When citizens, community leaders and businesses join together, we can create housing, career, and meaningful economic opportunities to build stronger communities. Thanks to all who could join us at Casper Community College today. Great turn-out!
I want to congratulate all of the winners and encourage them to do their best in their work ahead. I also want to thank everyone who stepped up and put their names on the ballot. Thank you for running! Our Constitution relies on people willing to step up to service, still, running for office is a sacrifice for everyone involved, the candidate, their family and friends, so thank them. Now is the time to bury the hatchets and come together as Republicans.
Seeing another election run smoothly is a reminder of how much we all have to be thankful for in this 250th year of our nation. And finally, thank you to Wyoming voters who got out and exercised their right to vote, your vote does matter, thank you for being involved in the running of your government. Now it's time to come together for the good of America. Let's Ride for the Brand!
Thanks to Cheyenne LEADS for hosting a meaningful discussion last week regarding Wyoming's "Economic Essentials" - those things that are absolutely necessary for growing strong communities and strong families across Wyoming. While we face challenges, we are also blessed with enormous opportunities - including the growth of our tourism, energy, business, and manufacturing sectors - to the success of our top-tier, top-ranked education system, which serves as a distinct and solid economic driver. Thank you to the 146+ citizens, President Shane Reeves, Cheyenne LEADS leaders Jeff Pope and Betsey Hale, and Wyoming Business Alliance CEO Renny McKay, for grappling with the hard questions about housing and infrastructure, while also taking steps to build an economic future the Wyoming Way. It was a pleasure during my recent time at National Governor's Association meeting Oklahoma City to meet with Minister Yeo of S. Korean Ministry of Trade Industry and Resources. It was a great opportunity to talk trade with South Korea about coal, natural gas gas, critical minerals, tech, and CCS and mutually beneficial opportunities.
It was an honor to join and spend time with my fellow Governors. Thank you @NatlGovsAssoc for all the work you did to put this together.
As the 2026 NGA Summer Meeting comes to a close, NGA is looking ahead and reflecting on the power of public service.
Today NGA announced its 2026–2027 Executive Committee, led by new Chair Maryland @GovWesMoore and Vice Chair Indiana @GovBraun, who will guide the association's priorities on behalf of all 55 governors.
To mark the launch of Gov. Moore’s “Service United” campaign, former NGA chair and Arkansas Gov. @AsaHutchinson moderated two panel discussions with four outgoing governors who reflected on their time in office and what service will mean in their next chapter.
Thank you, Governors, for your service to your states and your country.

Jennie and I are saddened to hear the news of Ann Simpson’s passing. She was a very dear friend and mentor to us both. Her passing is a huge loss not only to us personally, but also for Wyoming. Ann exemplified the characteristics of a true Wyoming woman, a caring mother and wife, resolute leader and partner, friend and counselor to all who knew her. She truly made our world better for being in it. We send our deepest condolences to the Simpson family, who remain in our prayers during this time of grief.

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Matt Lehrman for his Community Catalysts podcast. In our conversation, titled “From Cowboy to Cow Man,” we explored what it truly means to lead in a state that deeply values independence while recognizing the strength we find when we come together.
We dove into why public education remains one of the government's highest responsibilities and how my initiatives like Wyoming’s RIDE are bringing parents, educators, and employers together to build more responsive schools.
It was a thoughtful, reflective conversation on how we can balance our independent spirit with the collaborative trust needed to move Wyoming forward. You can listen to the full episode on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

It was an honor to spend the past two days in Wyoming with @Interior @SecretaryBurgum discussing issues that matter not just to our state, but to the future of the American West.
We had productive conversations about the ongoing Colorado River negotiations, Wyoming's energy future, public lands, and the challenges facing our ranchers and producers. From split estate to forestry issues, to keeping family ranches working for the next generation, Wyoming's voice was heard loud and clear.
It was also a privilege to welcome the U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche and the Under Secretary of the Air Force, Matthew Lohmeier, as well as Wyoming’s own Brian Nesvik and Karen Budd-Falen to Cheyenne as we celebrated Day of the West during @CheFrontierDays.
There's no better place to experience the values that built the American West than right here in the Cowboy State. Cheyenne Frontier Days reminds us that grit, independence, hard work, stewardship, and respect for one another aren't just part of our history, they're the values that continue to shape Wyoming's future.
Thank you to Secretary Burgum, Attorney General Blanche, Under Secretary Lohmeier and everyone who joined us in celebrating the enduring spirit of the West. I look forward to continuing our work together on behalf of Wyoming and the nation.
