Tonight, Congress will vote to lower the age to prosecute minors as adults from 16 down to 14 in DC.
Let me get this straight:
Congress wants to prosecute 14 yr. olds as adults, but they don’t want to prosecute adults who sexually abuse 14 year olds?

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act (part of 2013 NDAA) repealed the prohibition that kept the U.S. government from using propaganda on U.S. citizens.
I voted against that NDAA.
Recently, I offered an Amendment to reinstate the prohibition, but @SpeakerJohnson blocked the vote.

They're apoplectic about this speech over on Bluesky which tells me that it was exactly what was needed. They wanted her to give some wishy washy "lets all get along" and instead they were met with righteous anger and steadfast resolve.

After digging into the real truth about DOGE (see the link to my other thread below) I decided that I should absolutely dig into the truth about the “shut down” of USAID. Just like the lies about DOGE - neither Trump nor Musk has not actually shut down USAID and they are currently just exposing the waste they have found. While I really cannot see a way to save something so corrupt, they have not actually even formalized their long-term plans for USAID yet.
