so people have asked me to compile my play recommendation series on tiktok into a concrete list. so if you’re one of those people (or if you just want to read more plays), here’s a thread:
it’s just frustrating how people say they want insightful, vulnerable, & compassionate criticism, but they only engage w/ creators who post takes they objectively disagree with (and should!). like! stop chasing the outrage! that’s what they’re trying to sell!
the thing is they could literally get cast in any other broadway play too, but why would you want to star in something new when you could just recycle the same IP again
Rupert Grint returns as Ron Weasley in Broadway’s ‘HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD’ in February.

christopher abbott lost best featured actor in a play? well maybe if he'd mentioned 'girls' in his bio things would have been different

in a surprise to no one, Death of a Salesman wins best revival of a play. nathan lane accepts the award, in lieu of scott rudin. you know your producer is a bad person when it would be terrible PR for him to appear in public accepting an award/even get mentioned.
saying your proud of broadway’s ability to speak power to truth right after THAT commercial is…an interesting choice!
funny how everyone who’s won for death of a salesman can’t say their producer’s name on stage tonight…I wonder why!
you know, I think it would be off-pudding if the schmigadoon cast performed something else for the telecast #tonyawards
