A stranger threw a 3-year-old boy into a crocodile enclosure at a zoo. One of the crocodiles attacked him, leaving the little boy fighting for his life. But what happened next was almost unbelievable: a woman climbed into the enclosure herself to try to save him. It happened in Cambridgeshire, England. The little boy was visiting the zoo with his family when he was thrown about 15 feet into the enclosure. When Tracey Johnson, one of the zoo’s owners, realized what had happened, she faced a terrifying situation. The child was badly injured, and reaching him meant putting her own life at risk. But Tracey didn’t hesitate. She entered the enclosure while her husband Andrew and their son Edward helped with the desperate rescue. Together, they worked to reach the little boy and put a plan into place to bring him back to safety. They managed to get him out alive, but his fight wasn’t over. He underwent seven surgeries and spent weeks recovering in the hospital. Then came the news his family had been praying for. Their little boy was finally home, playing with his toys, sleeping in his own bed, and enjoying being a big brother again. The man suspected of throwing him into the enclosure was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Police said he was not fit to be interviewed, and he remained on bail while the investigation continued. Reports indicate he has learning disabilities, and authorities have also launched an inquiry into the care he was receiving. Through it all, one thing remains certain: Tracey Johnson and her family showed extraordinary courage when a little boy needed them most. They deserve to be remembered.

"Mother Who Jumped from the Train – Czechoslovakia, 1943. A Jewish mother on a transport train to Auschwitz broke a window and pushed her young daughter out into the snow as the train slowed on a bend. She kissed her once and whispered, “Run.” The girl landed in a ditch, bruised but alive, as the train roared away. Villagers found her and kept her hidden until the war’s end. She never saw her mother again, but for the rest of her life, she told people: “My mother gave me my life twice—once at birth, and once on that train.”
