Final chapter closes for 43102 as the NRM at Shildon beckons. Whatever your thoughts about if it should be kept in running order, just remember HSTs are still working on the mainline and in preservation. 43102 will be in a museum where many younger generations can enjoy & learn

I hear reports of an unbelievable number of, frankly, idiots trespassing on the railway to see Flying Scotsman. Don't.
The railway is dangerous. Staff who have to go on the track do so after a comprehensive course, and appropriate protection. You don't have any of that, so stop
