The @EnvAgency calculate that Affinity Water are over abstracting local chalk streams to the tune of about 430 million litres of water per day. That's almost 10% of the world's total supply of chalk streams degraded for profit. Let's talk about a clean conscience shall we.
It's possible to have a clean car AND a clean conscience. 😇 A bucket uses far less water than a hose, leaving more 💧💧💧 in your local streams - beautiful! 🏡 Take a quick spin around our website for more information, you might even get a free gadget! 😃

Excellent work from @sandralaville & @niamh_mcintyre in @guardiannews investigating the shocking levels of sewage being dumped in rivers last year. A must read if you care about our environment to understand just how broken our system is in England. theguardian.com/environment/…

I’m not a fan of Dominic Cummings, nor of too many government advisers getting gongs, but it’s wrong he’s being hounded by a press pack who are clearly ignoring “the rules” their newspapers and bbc are quoting in their inquisition !

The final act. Male Mayfly displaying on the river bank last night. When they have mated they will die. The pregnant females fly back to the river to lay their eggs and they to make the final sacrifice, all to preserve the next generation. Shakespeare could not have written it.

At high cost to our economy the minority SNP government decided const wasn’t safe on A9 during covid, despite fine weather and safe heavy equipment. The SNP safe in the knowledge UK taxpayers will bail them out, allowed them to avoid responsibility!

Thank you @BimAfolami MP for requesting the DoE look into the recommendations by the Angling Trust submitted to Michael Gove, including when the non contact sport can sensibly resume.
Letter from the UK banking regulator to the banks making them an offer they couldn’t refuse - cancel your dividend and cash bonuses or we’ll investigate you. So it is possible for a regulator to behave like regulator. No doubt the @EnvAgency are taking notes.

Add to that the amount of sewage we dump into London's rivers on a monotonously regular basis plus the over abstraction and you really have to wonder, environmental policy? What environmental policy? theguardian.com/environment/…

They marched and they shouted, but the quiet majority have just spoken in their millions. The British people do not need yellow vests and smoke bombs, so proud of them!

#bbcqt the NHS is already obliged to procure medical products and services on open competitive tender, under EU single-market rules.

“The people of Hong Kong deserve our unswerving support because they truly champion the rule of law. That is what makes them the marvellous people they are.” Sir Malcolm Rifkind
I’m tired of hearing government advisers who are now Dames and Sirs for what ?
Lib Dems are down in the polls as their revoke strategy loses ground, a deal would be much preferable, as any temporary damage to our economy is outstripped by permanent damage to democracy if the 2016 referendum is ignored. Lack of outcome is harming the country
