Saddened to hear of the passing of Mac Bain. I always looked forward to catching up with Mac at the various municipal forums throughout the year. We shared a deep love and passion for Northern Ontario that transcended the distance between our homes.
He will be remembered for his intimate level of understanding of how all levels of government work, his candour, and passion not only for North Bay, but Northern Ontario, writ large.
My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.

Now it’s up to the rest of Canada to deliver on our commitment to Alberta by building new pipelines, unlocking our natural resources and unleashing the prosperity that will protect the future of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

My thoughts are with everybody who has been affected by the terrible incident that took place at CFB Wainwright in Alberta last night, including members of our armed forces and the heroic first responders on the scene.
As Canadians, let’s come together to support our brave men and women in uniform, who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and our country. Ontario stands ready to help the recovery efforts however we can.

Meaningful reconciliation is rooted in partnerships and the empowerment of Indigenous youth and communities.
Ontario’s $5.2 million investment in Indigenous-led sport, recreation and cultural programs will create more opportunities for Indigenous youth to build confidence, grow as leaders, strengthen cultural connections and thrive in their communities, now and well into the future.
