I'm a year late, but excited to dig farther into Litany with Wings by Tyler Chadwick (@fireinapasture) from @BccPress. I always appreciate a poetry collection with clearly defined sections to help guide the reader into a séance with the themes. This is a deeply thoughtful book.

As someone who wants to do a "poetry corner" on Twitch or Youtube, I really love the visuals of this essay - because they aren't overwhelming, but are high quality! Instant subscribe.

This is so exciting! I'm a bit late to the party, but congratulations on the publication, I am excited to order and read soon. I also appreciate the details of diving into the financial and emotional costs of bring a manuscript into fruition like this.

My poetry professor always tells us to shout out the line that "hooked us" in a poem: I loved "every member of my nuclear family / lies down nothing wrong with the water" - the stream of consciousness style of the poem straddles dreaminess and cold reality.

great work @JoeCarrickVarty! I liked the idea of conceptualizing suicide as a "slow planet", almost fated to draw in entire generations with a kind of gravity, and how that both connects and isolates us from the people we love. Also a really effective use of alliteration!

Flamin' Seasonal Mania sounds accurate to some of my bipolar experiences. Wonder when the DSM will catch up
I know SAD is for winter, but based on everyone I'm talking to, this summer is very much like, "from the makers of Seasonal Depression, now comes Flamin' Seasonal Depression"
Tired of Under the Banner of Heaven discourse? Skip this tweet lol Exmormon art is Mormon art. I'm an exmormon with published poetry in majority LDS spaces. I'm allowed to tell my story, including to engage with the history of the faith that shaped my entire life.

“Irreantum is asking you to share your impractically long poems: the pieces too extended and ambitious to fit between the articles in the usual journals whose pages make room for Mormon poetry.” Deadline is July 24!
Thrilled to announce that the one and only MICHAEL R. COLLINGS will be editing a long-poetry issue of Irreantum. Head over to our submissions page and click on "Issue-specific guidelines" to get the scoop.

You've been such a great poet laureate, thank you for all your hard work! Mapping Literary Utah is so amazing, I have discovered so many poets local to me and I've grown to love homegrown poetry more than ever!!!

Discovering the joys of antique roadshow at my in-laws - watching an old man talk about a painting from his husband's family - and watching his face light up! We are trying to guess the prices and it's a good time lol

Sneak peak no. 18 of LITANY WITH WINGS (@BccPress): the poem w/the longest title, “Upon hearing Elder B— bear witness that ‘Satan is real’ to a Mormon congregation the second Sunday of 2011—” Here it is, as published in 2012 on @PsalteryLyre (1.0) dovesandserpents.org/wp/2012…

Thinking about that time a gas station owner in rural Utah forged the will of one of the wealthiest men in America, and sent it to Church headquarters where it was discovered years later - and it said to give him and the Church 156 million dollars each. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melv…

And there was a huge court battle where the judge was like, "guys, this is obviously a forgery" and David O. McKay was probably like: "well heck, it was a good try Melvin, but next time we shouldn't get caught up in a forgery scandal."

And then like 10 years later Mark Hoffman was like, "so, anybody interested in a forgery scandal (among other things)?" And the Church was like: "yeah, let's do it".
