Winter Preparations: Another Big Step Towards Keeping Our Animals Warm! ❄️🐾 Truckloads of firewood are arriving at our sanctuary! 🪵🚛 Our team is unloading the logs, spreading them under the sun to dry, and storing them for winter. Many more truckloads are still needed! Why so much firewood? We're building our own central heating system to keep our enormous dog shelter, with nearly 100 kennels, and our rescued cats warm. Professional quotations were far beyond our budget, so our team is building the system ourselves, with careful safety measures and testing at every stage. Using firewood, pipes and fans to distribute heat, we hope to create powerful, affordable heating while keeping running costs low. I'm so excited and hopeful! ❤️ If successful, I'll proudly share how we built it, step by step. We're stretching every donated penny to give our animals the warmth they deserve. ❄️ Our Winter Preparation Checklist: 🪵 Firewood — many more truckloads needed 🔥 Central heating — construction and safety testing underway 🐕 Warm dog beds and blankets 🫏 Tailor-made winter gowns 🏠 Weatherproof tarpaulins for dog shelters 🐈 Cosy cat houses and bedding 🐾 Winter protection for hundreds of rescued animals We're only halfway there, and so much remains to be done! Keeping an entire sanctuary warm through the bitter winter is a huge undertaking. 🙏 Please help us finish what we've started. Even £5 makes a difference. ❤️ Please donate and repost our appeal! ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20… ❤️ Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate

💔 Ronnie cannot even stand up without help. How can anyone expect him to pull a cart again? Remember Ronnie, who collapsed while pulling a vegetable cart? His back is so badly affected that he still needs help getting up. Yet his owner, who himself walks with crutches, keeps coming and demanding Ronnie back. Today, even the media contacted us, request us to return him. Ronnie is NOT fit for work. We cannot let him suffer again! 🫏💔 We've appealed repeatedly for help, but we're still nowhere near our target. 🛺 A specially adapted rickshaw for his disabled owner, or 🏪 A small grocery shop to provide him with an alternative livelihood. Please help us give Ronnie the retirement he desperately deserves, without leaving his owner without an income. Even £5 matters. 🙏❤️ Please donate and repost! tawf.org.uk/donate

WATCH LUCKY STAR CLOSELY. ❤️ Don’t just watch him walking — watch how he walks. Lucky Star is completely blind. When he first came to us, he would bump into walls and objects. He moved like a horse who couldn’t trust the world around him. Now look at him. Look at the speed. The confidence. The certainty in every step. Watch what happens as he approaches a wall — somehow, before touching it, he knows it is there and adjusts himself. If you didn’t already know he was blind, would you even guess? 🥹❤️ And look at his body. His ribs and bones that once stood out so painfully are slowly disappearing as he gains weight and strength. These are the moments that make my heart happiest. Lucky Star cannot see his new world — but he has learned that it is safe. And perhaps that is why he is finally brave enough to move through it with confidence. ❤️🐴 Please help us continue giving Lucky Star the food, treatment and lifelong care he needs — and please SHARE his journey. 🙏❤️ 🌐 tawf.org.uk/donate

GOOD MORNING from some very happy shelter residents! ☀️🐾❤️ Cats playing. Dogs racing around. Donkeys running just because they CAN. 🥹 Watching them, it is hard to imagine that nearly every animal here carries a painful past — abandonment, injury, illness, neglect or abuse. But look at them now. This is what happens when helping hands come together. A donation. A bag of food. A medicine. A share. A repost. Individually, they may feel small. Together, they become THIS. ❤️ Full bellies. Treatment. Safety. Freedom. Play. Animals who once struggled to survive are now simply HAPPY. So if you ever wonder whether your donation or share makes a difference… Watch this video. This is your answer. You helped turn painful pasts into mornings like this. ❤️ 🌐 tawf.org.uk/donate Please keep helping and SHARING — more helping hands mean more lives transformed. 🐾❤️

I WISH YOU COULD HAVE SEEN WHAT I SAW TODAY. 🥹❤️🐾 I honestly cannot describe how happy I am. For days, we watched pieces of wood slowly turn into little houses for our rescued cats. My idea was simple — winter is coming, and I wanted them to have somewhere warm and cosy to curl up and sleep. But today, as our team started placing them inside the cat rooms, something happened that I never expected. THE CATS WENT CRAZY WITH EXCITEMENT! 😭❤️ The boys hadn’t even finished arranging them and the cats were already running over, climbing up, disappearing into one little room after another, peeking out, exploring and choosing their favourite spots. I stood there watching them and suddenly realised: We didn’t just build them warm beds. We gave them their own little world. ❤️ I thought I was simply creating protection from the winter cold. I had NO IDEA these houses would become their playground, hiding place, safe corner and favourite cosy place to be. Seeing them today made my heart feel as though it could burst. 🥹 To everyone who helped us build these — LOOK WHAT YOUR KINDNESS BECAME. And we are not finished yet. The houses still need painting and finishing, and our winter work still has a long way to go — more dog beds, winter protection for our donkey sheds, our heating system, and warm arrangements for the most vulnerable animals. We are building everything little by little, because that is how the funds are coming — a little arrives, we order the next materials, and the team gets back to work. I wish you could truly understand how much power you have. ❤️ A donation. A share. A repost. Something that may take only seconds for you can eventually become THIS — a frightened rescued animal running excitedly into a little home of their own. If we had enough help, we wouldn’t have to struggle inch by inch to finish before the cold becomes unbearable. Please help us keep going. Let’s finish what we started for them. 🙏❤️ ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20… 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate And please SHARE — you may never know which share becomes the next warm bed, the next shelter, or the next moment of happiness like this. 🐱🏠❤️

LOOK WHAT YOU ARE HELPING US BUILD! 🥹❤️🐾 Almost 100 little cat houses are nearly ready! I keep looking at them and imagining what they will look like very soon — filled with soft bedding, little faces peeking out, cats curled up inside their own cosy, warm spaces, safely sleeping through those bitter winter nights. ❤️ And the most beautiful part? YOU helped make this happen. We are building everything ourselves wherever we can, stretching every donation as far as possible so that more animals can benefit. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get this far. 🙏 But we still have a long way to go. Winter is almost here, and we have hundreds of dogs, cats, donkeys and other vulnerable animals to prepare for the cold. Please keep helping us — and PLEASE SHARE. Every share can bring another helping hand to our animals. ❤️ 🌐 tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20… 🌐 tawf.org.uk/donate

LOOK AT THEM. Every one of these babies has lost their mother. 💔 They came to us from different places, from different mothers — all within just two days. Their mothers were killed, and these little ones were left behind. They should be sleeping against their mothers tonight. Instead, they are orphans in our arms. Please help us feed, care for and keep them warm. Winter nights are already bitterly cold, and we urgently need to finish our winter preparations. At the same time, it is month-end. Feed, medicines, wages and bills are waiting to be paid. We desperately need your support to keep caring for them and hundreds of others already depending on us. And please — RAISE YOUR VOICE. If you are outside Pakistan, your voice matters enormously. Speak against the killing of street animals. Share their stories. Make noise for them. Please be their voice. 💔 🌐 tawf.org.uk/donate

I REALLY NEED YOU TODAY. 💔 I have tried not to keep asking. I have stretched every donation, bought winter materials little by little, and kept everything moving for as long as I could. But now, we are running on almost nothing. Our medicines have been ordered — but I need to pay the bill before they are released. Our feed has been ordered — but I need to pay before it can be delivered. And winter cannot wait. The nights are already painfully cold, while some of the warm spaces we are building for our most vulnerable animals are still unfinished. It is also the end of the month. Wages and bills are due. For days, hardly anything has come in — sometimes just £5 or £10 — while hundreds of animals still depend on us every single day. I cannot stretch what simply isn’t there anymore. Please, if you have been thinking of helping TAWF, today is the day I need you. Even £5, £10 or £20 matters when enough of us come together. And if you genuinely cannot donate, please SHARE this. Our posts cannot reach the people who might help unless you carry them beyond our page. 🙏❤️ 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20…

Good morning from some of the happiest dogs in the world. ☀️🐾❤️ There is something magical about mornings at our sanctuary. The sun begins to rise, that beautiful golden light falls across their faces… and then they hear it. The team has arrived. Suddenly, everyone is awake. Tails are flying, paws are dancing, breakfast is coming, their people are here — and another safe day is beginning. For those few minutes, you would never know how much some of these dogs have suffered. They are simply happy. Safe. Fed. Loved. And ridiculously excited to start another day. ❤️ And there is only one reason they get to wake up feeling this way: YOU. The people who donate. The people who share. The people who keep showing up for animals they may never even meet. You turned survival into mornings like these. Good morning from your very happy TAWF family. ☀️🐾 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate Please donate and share — so another frightened street animal can one day wake up this happy too. ❤️

Last Monday, a stray dog stood beside me through my entire lunch break, pretending she wasn’t looking at my food. Her head was turned away. Her eyes weren’t. Every time I lifted my fork, she glanced up. If I looked at her, she suddenly found something interesting on the other side of the construction site. She never barked or put her paws on my knee. She just waited. She was thin, with dust caught in her fur. When she turned sideways, I could see she was feeding puppies. I gave her a few pieces of chicken. She ate them, checked the ground for anything she’d missed, then left through a gap in the fence. The next day, she came back as soon as we sat down. One of the guys laughed and said I’d made a friend. By Thursday, I was leaving part of my lunch untouched until she arrived. But she never stayed long afterward. Even when someone else offered more food, she’d sometimes look toward the fence and hurry away. On Friday, I followed her. She stopped twice to look back. I kept my distance. Behind an empty house near the site, she squeezed under a broken section of siding. I crouched down and looked through the gap. Four puppies were tucked against the foundation. The moment she lay down, they scrambled over each other to reach her. She was still panting when they started feeding.

Sometimes, two broken stories find each other. ❤️ You may remember Shami. A tractor had run over her leg. She had been suffering for more than a day when two tiny boys — without even shirts on their backs — somehow brought her to our hospital for treatment. Shami was terrified of us. Every time we approached, it meant another drip, another injection, another treatment. So we treated her wounds, but we also gave her something she desperately needed — time and space to learn that she was safe. And then came Luka. A tiny donkey baby brought to us without his mother. We tried everything we could to get his mother too, but we couldn't. We bottle-fed him, surrounded him with other youngsters, gave him good food, medical care and all the love we could. But none of it could replace his mum. What we never told you was that the stress affected Luka so deeply that, within days, he began dragging one of his back legs. You were already heartbroken for him, and we couldn't bear to show you that too. Behind the scenes, we kept working with him and doing everything we could. And then something happened that we never planned. Luka found Shami. We cannot tell you that Shami sees him as her baby — we simply don't know. But Luka? Just watch him. He has become her little shadow. Wherever Shami goes, Luka is there. He follows her, stands beside her and seems to find something in her presence that all our bottles, food and human love could never quite give him. Two donkeys arrived at our sanctuary through completely different tragedies. One needed to learn that she was safe. The other desperately missed his mother. And somehow, they found each other. ❤️ Perhaps rescue cannot give them back everything that was taken from them. But sometimes, it gives them something we never could have planned. Please help us keep giving animals like Shami and Luka the time, treatment and sanctuary they need to heal. 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate Please DONATE & SHARE their story. ❤️

"We do adoption events every month. Yesterday was our biggest one. Forty-two dogs found homes. It was a wonderful day. Winston did not find a home. He is eleven years old. He is large. He is silver-gray and his whole muzzle is white and his eyes are the color of a winter morning and he is the gentlest dog I have ever put on a leash. He sat in the same spot for six hours. He did not pace. He did not bark. He watched every dog around him get chosen and he wagged his tail for every family that walked past him without stopping. Every single one. For six hours. At 5pm when the last family had left and the last car had pulled out of the parking lot I turned around and Winston was sitting at the edge of the empty lot wagging his tail at the space where the people had been. I sat down on the asphalt beside him. I put my hand on his silver back. He leaned into me. I don't have a word for what I felt. I have worked in rescue for nine years. I have never sat on a parking lot asphalt at the end of a failed adoption event and felt so completely undone and so completely certain simultaneously. Undone because he deserves everything. Certain because he is going to be okay. Both at the same time. Both because of him. He wagged at the empty parking lot. That is who Winston is. That is who he has been every day of his eleven years. Share this for Winston. He wagged at the empty parking lot. The least we can do is find him someone to wag at who stays.

You have cried for them. Now, please smile with them. ❤️ Lucky Star and Lucky Moon have both known lives no animal should ever have to endure. Their bodies still carry the evidence. But suffering should not be the only story we tell about rescued animals. Today, let’s pause the sadness and watch two broken souls being horses again — eating, arguing, flirting, getting annoyed with each other… and then standing miserably on opposite sides of the fence when we separated them. 😂❤️ Lucky Moon is currently in heat, so their first introduction became a little more “romantic” than planned! For her safety, they are temporarily separated and will be reunited once her cycle ends. After everything they have survived, these moments are precious. Rescue is not only about saving a life. It is about giving that life something worth living for. If their stories brought tears to your eyes, today please smile for Lucky Star & Lucky Moon. ⭐🌙 And please help us continue giving broken animals their second chance. ❤️ 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate Please DONATE & SHARE. Every share can take their story to another helping hand. ❤️

Please watch all four of Lucky Moon’s legs carefully — not only the front two. Look at what years of pain and compensation have done to every step she takes. This is not simply a horse with one damaged leg. Years of pain, neglect and struggling to compensate have affected almost her entire body. Her ribs stand out beneath her skin. The muscles that should cover and support her shoulders, back and hindquarters have wasted away. Her hip bones and shoulder blades are sharply prominent, while the areas around her temples are deeply sunken. Her body has been depleted for so long that there is almost no healthy muscle left to support her frame. And then there are her legs. Her old hind-leg fracture healed in the wrong position, leaving permanent deformity and severe arthritis. Because the bone joined out of alignment, every step places abnormal stress through the limb and causes further pain. She swings and crosses that leg because it can no longer move normally. For years, the other three legs have had to compensate for the damaged one, carrying weight and absorbing forces they were never meant to bear. Now all four limbs show the consequences. Her stride is short and guarded. Her feet are severely worn from the abnormal way she has been forced to move. Her whole body has adapted around pain. Those who followed Serena will understand why looking at Lucky Moon frightens us so much. Serena came to us with one badly damaged leg after being forced to continue working. Gradually, the strain destroyed the other three legs too. We watched her body compensate until eventually all four limbs were affected. But Serena reached that devastating stage gradually. Lucky Moon has arrived already there. Her body condition is poorer, her muscle loss is severe, and the damage to her movement is already affecting her entire frame. Serena remained with us for almost a year. Looking at Lucky Moon today, we know we are beginning her journey from an extraordinarily difficult place. Some people have suggested corrective shoes, but after years of her body adapting to this deformity, we cannot suddenly or aggressively force her limbs into a “normal” position. That could place even more stress on the old fracture and arthritic joints. Pakistan also has no specialist equine therapeutic farriers available to us, so any hoof work must be careful and conservative. Our goal is to help her gain weight, rebuild whatever muscle her body is still capable of rebuilding, reduce her pain, protect her exhausted limbs and give her the comfort and dignity she has been denied for far too long. Please help us care for Lucky Moon. Even if you cannot donate, sharing her story may help her reach someone who can. Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate She has already survived more than any animal should have to endure. Now she is finally safe. ❤️
