Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 8, Card 20 - PEPENUMA by TrendStream. This is a 1/100 card with none for sale as of the time of this writing. The last sale occurred on 24 July 2025 for $67 USD. 50 wallets hold a copy of the card and the largest controls 20% of the total supply (20/100). That wallet was last active 9 years ago. Numa (沼) is Japanese for “swamp” or “marsh.” In this original image we find Pepe with curiously human hands and feet along with his pet rubber ducky laying in mud. The text provided (Hey, I can't see the moon. I'm in the SWAMP) is wordplay about the fact that Pepe's crypto bags won't be able to experience a dramatic price increase from his location. Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 24, Card 4 - HLYPEPANCAKE by the late, great John Villar. This is a 1/500 card with none for sale as of the time of this writing. The last sale occurred on 1 May 2025 for $161 USD. Only 19 wallets hold a copy of this card and the largest two wallets control 92.8% of the total supply (464/550). One of those wallets is the Rare Pepe Party game wallet and the other is Johns. Both are active and are being managed by his family. HLYPEPANCAKE plays on the phenomenon of people discovering images of religious figures in ordinary foods such as toast, tortillas, and pancakes. A crude Pepe face is carved into the pancake and highlighted with a white outline, creating Pepe's own miraculous breakfast apparition. This is a form of pareidolia. Pareidolia is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one detects an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none. This is a 1/110 card with a current floor price of 0.03 BTC ($2,567 USD). 52 wallets hold a copy of the card and the artist's wallet still controls 35.45% of the total supply (39/110). Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 29, Card 34 - BETTYPEPE by Looks Rare (@utxo__). This is a 1/150 card with a current floor price of 0.0022 BTC ($183 USD). 59 wallets hold a copy of the card and the largest controls 50% of the total supply (75/150). That wallet was last active 2 years ago. This is a parody of a 1992 Leslie Cabarga original titled Betty Boop "Boopsi Cola" Pin-Up Poster Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press). The iconic character Betty Boop has been turned into Pepe Boop (or BETTYPEPE) and her bottle of Boopsi Cola has been rebranded to Pepe Cola. The price of 5 cents remained the same. The original was created in acrylic on illustration board with an image area of 9" x 13" for Kitchen Sink Press, Inc., of Princeton Wisconsin. The image was later used on tin signs among other novelty products. The original was owned by company founder Denis Kitchen until 2024 when it was auctioned by Heritage Auctions for $960 USD. Betty Boop is a cartoon character created by Max Fleischer. She made her first appearance in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes, released on August 9, 1930. Betty is regarded as one of the first and best-known sex symbols on the animated screen; she is a symbol of the Depression era and a reminder of the more carefree days of Jazz Age flappers. Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 22, Card 6 - PEPEGIGGITY by @Rare_Luca. This is a 1/169 card with a circulating supply of 69 after 100 were sent to a burn address shortly after minting. The current floor price of the card is 0.00556 BTC ($452 USD). Only 12 wallets hold a copy of the card and the largest controls 76.8% of the circulating supply (53/69). This card is a mashup of a movie scene and a television scene that together tell a story that no one asked for. 🤣 First up is the cartoon character Glenn Quagmire (who I just taught you about a couple of days ago) from Family Guy Season 8, Episode 2 "Family Goy" which originally aired on 4 Oct 2009. In the episode, Quagmire had just discovered internet porn and disappeared into his house for days. When Peter sees him again, Quagmire comes outside looking exhausted. He raises his left arm, which has become absurdly muscular, and says he’s going to check his mailbox. Peter asks, “You been liftin’ weights?” Luca replaced Quagmire's head with Pepe's and floated a copy of this card into his hand. The next scene is from the movie Scary Movie 2 (2001). It's the end of the freezer scene where Cindy, played by Anna Faris gives Buddy (Chris Masterson) an absurdly dramatic Titanic-style speech while massaging a certain part of his body. If you can manage to ignore what you've just seen and read, you can pretend that the moral of this story is that holding a PEPEGIGGITY can turn a nerd to an alpha in "no time." If you wanted to rebuild the ingredient list for The Creature from Jekyll Island: Pepe Edition, you would need a small library. Start with G. Edward Griffin’s "The Creature from Jekyll Island" for the Federal Reserve, monetary power, and the machinery behind the curtain. Add Saifedean Ammous’s "The Bitcoin Standard " for sound money, scarcity, and the economic case for Bitcoin. Bring in "The Sovereign Individual" for the collision between digital technology, individual sovereignty, and the nation-state. Add Nathaniel Popper’s "Digital Gold" for the people, personalities, accidents, arguments, and unlikely history behind Bitcoin’s earliest years. Then reach into fiction. You'll need Neal Stephenson’s "Cryptonomicon" brings cryptography, code, money, history, paranoia, and huge ideas into one sprawling narrative. Lionel Shriver’s "The Mandibles" shows what monetary failure looks like when it stops being an abstract policy discussion and starts happening to a family. Every one of those books does something exceptionally well. This book is not trying to replace any of them. It is what happens when you throw those ingredients into the same pot, add 130 years of American financial history, coal mines, supernatural horror, cypherpunks, Rare Pepes, Counterparty, internet folklore, augmented reality, a multigenerational family carrying four centuries of warnings, and a frog with a very long memory. You could buy the whole shelf. Or you could see what happens when somebody cooks with all of it at once.

Today's Rare Pepe Lore Lesson™️ is Series 14, Card 44 - RESERVPEPES by BuddhaAF (and maybe @Rare_Luca)? This is a 1/1,000 card with a circulating supply of 505 after 1 was burned 10 years ago and another 494 3 years ago. The current floor price is 0.00053 BTC ($41 USD). 120 wallets hold a copy of the card and the creator's wallet still controls 31.7% of the circulating supply (160/505). Another 100 cards are in the Rare Pepe Party game wallet. Both are active. This card took the movie poster for Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, turned the white skin green, added Pepe's eyes and lips, and replaced the word "dog" with "pepe". The poster image depicts Harvey Keitel's Mr. White standing over Steve Buscemi's Mr. Pink. Reservoir Dogs is a 1992 American heist film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino in his feature-length directorial debut. It stars Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, Tarantino, and Edward Bunker as diamond thieves whose heist of a jewelry store goes terribly wrong. Today's Rare Pepe Set Lesson™️ is the "History of Art Set" by @DanDarkpiIII. The set includes seven Series 8 cards: Card 18 - PICASSOPEPE, Card 23 - VANGOUGHPEPE, Card 26 - MATISSEPEPE, Card 27 - DALIPEPE, Card 31 - MIROPEPE, Card 44 - LAUTRECPEPE, and Card 48 - KUNISADAPEPE. Each is 1/100 and the current floor price for the set is 0.238 BTC ($18,231 USD). Only 4 collector wallets hold the complete set. One of those owns 2 full sets! The 5th full set owner is the artist. He still owns between 58% and 70% of the total supply of each card. There is a physical set of these that is accompanied by an Opendime holding the digital versions on @scarcedotcity with no price (Serious offers only). Each card is a Pepefied/Wojakafied version of a famous painting with the exception of the Dali which is a photo of the artist. At the bottom of each is the text "Rare Pepe History of Art Series No. x of 24." These 7 were the only ones that were included in the official Rare Pepe Directory and are numbered 1-6 and 8. Dark Pill has 45 additional ARTISTNAMEPEPE tokens in his wallet without art attached. If I had to guess, #7 in the series would have been LEONARDOPEPE because that is the only one with 100 editions. All the others in the wallet are 10 editions and one is a 1 of 1 (KITAGAWAPEPE). The Picasso is a self portrait originally titled Autoportrait from 1907 and is currently hanging in the Narodni Gallery in Prague. The Van Gogh is the last of many self-portraits, painted in September 1889 only months before his death. It is now in the collection of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The Matisse is titled Dance, made in 1910, at the request of Russian businessman and art collector Sergei Shchukin, who bequeathed the large decorative panel to the Hermitage Museum, in Saint Petersburg. The portrait of Salvador Dali was by Photographer Philippe Halsman as part of his 1954 book Dali's Mustache. The Miró is titled Femme, oiseau, étoile (Homenatge a Pablo Picasso) (Woman, Bird, Star) and was painted between 1966 - 1973. The Lautrec is an 1892 lithograph poster titled Ambassadeurs and is of his friend, cabaret singer Aristide Bruant. The Kunisada is titled Two Samurai from 1849-1853 and the subject is Kabuki actors Mimasu Daigorō and Nakamura Utaemon. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day... signing books and getting ready to ship out these auction winners. This week I read the entire thing on twitter spaces, and we had a really great turnout. 60% more book... means a story worth reading. And I wanna make sure everyone gets something (not only signed) but i'm gonna draw something meaningful inside every cover. I've decided to delay putting it on amazon. So if you're waiting for that, sorry... it's going to be a second. Today my focus is making these Books, coins, and a single pair of collectors item hadcuffs... powder coated and laser inscribed with the symbols from the book story. I'm putting them currently into a shadow box and getting #Bitcoin
