Take Note Hoopers: One of the most underutilized fundamentals is a simple ball, shot, or pass fake. Shifting the defense both on and off the ball, creating an advantage in a ball screen, or clarity as for next "easy" pass. Ball fakes can be a valuable tool for an adept offensive player. #GrindersBallFake
Personal Note: Need a rebound? I got the guy. Top 25 All Time in NCAA Basketball. New chapter for him couldn’t be prouder of @NicoCarvacho25 ! #TrueGrinder #PursuitAngle

More on Derus: Great read on DeLaSalle Field. RIP to "Skip" Maas-Class of '58-who partnered with John, enhancing Nicollet Island.
"DeLaSalle got a football field, and the neighborhood survived."

Personal Note: Sending prayers today for Derus Family. My friend John- Class of '58 - provided instrumental leadership in creation of DeLaSalle Field on "the Island." The Brothers are proud of John's lifetime of service to others. #RIPJohn obituaries.startribune.com/o…
Personal Note: Dorm move in today. I’ve played a role in many. This one hits different. Pink color scheme is a contrast to hoopers by the way. Kudos to @Tommievball for the help. Can’t wait to see their team play! #RollTomsVB #SettersRock
