I have a stand at the Old Cromwell Market today - and every second sunday through summer. The actual weather is less dire than the forecast, lots of unique goods & foods, and the scenery is amazing.

This Leaflet is a deep dive on a garden I designed & built at the Melbourne Flower Show in 2004. The garden was about how we try to control nature, while nature has other aims, and best encapsulated thus: Box tree breaks free (escaping square life) growplan.co.nz/2024/08/15/me… #MIFGS

This week's leaflet is on selecting a multi-purpose mix of exotic #perennials for an inland South Island #NZ site 360m altitude. at -44.62°S There's 600mm of evenly-spread rain & a nasty oven-like Föhn, so it's great for Mediterranean type plants. growplan.co.nz/2024/08/08/pl…

The latest Leaflet growplan.co.nz/2024/07/01/wh… Examples of how the right plants, planted in the right places can remove the bulk of stormwater without building more (or any) drains, and at significantly lower cost (approx. 20%) than piped solutions. #SuDS #LivingInfrastructure

The latest Leaflet growplan.co.nz/2024/06/24/go… On Sustainable Drainage #SuDS and why it makes sense for NZ financially, aesthetically, and protects us from (ever larger and more frequent) flooding events. Also, why it is not widely practiced here.

Hay!, it's Christmas. Taken on SH1 east of Waipahi, South Otago, #NZ. Many farms do something like this at Christmas but this farm's really lifting the bar, simple effective and fun graphics with nothing more than hay and agricultural marking paint.
