We’ve been putting Gemini 3 Pro through real design tests in Figma Make: holiday projects, extreme aesthetic swings, and system-level tasks. It handled the fundamentals reliably and showed meaningful range in layout, style, and interaction.
The pattern is clear: AI widens the canvas for designers. The more fluent the model, the more space there is to explore—and the more essential the designer’s vision and taste.

How much information should we have around us when working?
Design tokens are design decisions that create constraints, reduce scope and overall make your product more consistent.
Tried building our theming logic in Figma Make and Cursor.
Make: 2 hours, looks great — perfect for showing ideas.
Cursor: 20 minutes, built on real logic with W3C tokens + Style Dictionary.
One shows what it could be, the other shows how it works.
I’m happy with the latter.
