SLOW-BRAISED HERB-RUBBED BEEF WITH VELVETY RED WINE GRAVY 🍷🥩
"Tender beef, rich gravy, pure comfort"
Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
For the beef:
1 eye of round beef roast (about 2½–3 lb / 1.1–1.4 kg)
2 tbsp olive oil
1½ tsp salt, or to taste
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp paprika
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
For the braising liquid:
2 tbsp butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 carrots, roughly chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups dry red wine
2 cups beef stock
2 bay leaves
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
3 sprigs fresh thyme
For the gravy:
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cold water
1 tbsp butter, optional
Instructions:
Prepare the beef:
Pat the roast dry with paper towels. Mix the salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, paprika, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and olive oil into a paste. Rub it all over the beef.
Sear the roast:
Heat a heavy Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add a little olive oil and sear the beef on all sides until deeply browned. Transfer to a plate.
Build the flavor:
Add butter to the same pot. Stir in the onion, carrots, and celery. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized. Add the tomato paste and cook for another minute.
Deglaze:
Pour in the red wine, scraping up all the flavorful browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Simmer for 4–5 minutes to reduce slightly.
Braise slowly:
Add the beef stock, bay leaves, rosemary, and thyme. Return the beef to the pot. The liquid should come about halfway up the roast. Cover with a tight-fitting lid.
Cook until tender:
Place in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for approximately 2½–3½ hours, turning the beef once halfway through. Cook until tender when pierced with a fork. Add a little extra stock if needed during cooking.
Rest the beef:
Transfer the roast to a cutting board and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for 15–20 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
Make the red wine gravy:
Strain the braising liquid into a saucepan, discarding the vegetables and herbs. Simmer until slightly reduced. Mix the cornstarch with cold water, then slowly whisk it into the simmering liquid. Cook until glossy and thickened. Stir in a tablespoon of butter for extra richness, if desired.
Serve:
Arrange the sliced beef on a warm serving platter. Spoon the velvety red wine gravy over the top and garnish with fresh rosemary and thyme.
Serving suggestion:
Pair with roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, buttery mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up every drop of that beautiful gravy.
Enjoy! 🍷🥩

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t.
Clerical error.
I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire.
That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic.
We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart.
At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized.
This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves.
I hope you will lift the banner with us.

Easy Cheesy Taco Sticks
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade)
- 1 tube Pillsbury pizza dough
- 5 Colby Jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions:
1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 425°F and lightly coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray.
2. Cook the Taco Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until fully browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat.
3. Season the Beef: Return the skillet to the stovetop and mix in the taco seasoning packet (dry, without water) until the beef is fully coated. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
4. Prepare the Dough: Spread the pizza dough out on a clean surface until flat. Cut in half lengthwise, then make 4 cuts across to create 10 small rectangles total.
5. Fill the Sticks: Place about 1 tablespoon or more of the cooled taco meat in the center of each dough rectangle. Top with half a cheese stick.
6. Roll and Seal: Carefully roll up each pizza stick, making sure to pinch all seams closed tightly to prevent filling from leaking out during baking.
7. Add Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of all the taco sticks.
8. Bake Until Golden: Bake for 10-12 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the dough is cooked through. Serve hot with your favorite taco toppings like salsa, sour cream, or guacamole!

Islam is evil
Ethiopia: At least 47 Ethiopian Christians were killed, and another 18 hospitalized, in coordinated attacks targeting them in the Oromia region.
Surviving witnesses claimed regional authorities collaborated with Islamist militias to carry out the massacre.
Church leaders have repeatedly warned local authorities about armed groups entering the area, but received no serious response.
This is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a pattern of targeted attacks against Ethiopian Christians, who militants conflate with Amhara ethnicity.
This fusion of religious and ethnic violence against innocent Christians and their churches must not be tolerated.
We condemn these evil acts and call for the protection of Ethiopia’s Christians.

This is the major item of disagreement I have with Nick Fuentes.
You don't like what Trump did with his war in Iran?
Fair.
But by voting democrat you are ensuring a government-lead war against White people and Christians.
You don't think Trump deported enough illegals?
Fair.
But by voting democrat you are ensuring the borders will open again, and we'll get tens of millions in.
NEVER vote Democrat unless they return to how they were like 30 years ago.
If you care about this country, about the children that will be mass mutilated and mass aborted,
you either vote Republican or you vote for a third option if it ever happens we get one that matters.
NEVER blue.
This country would not survive 4 years of Blue rule.
You think the school indoctrination is bad now?
By the time the mandate will be over, there will never be an election ever again.
All swing states will be flooded with migrants.
Texas will turn blue.
The new generations will all vote liberal.
It will be the end of America.
America first can NEVER vote blue.
