We both served for many years on the AMPAS Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship Committee. Unsurprisingly, her insights into scripts and character were absolutely brilliant. What a loss of an incredible woman. My condolences to Laurette and her entire family.
What an honor to receive the Edgar Rice Burroughs Legacy Award last night -- with thanks to the brilliant director, and my good friend, Ernest Dickerson, who presented it to me!
One of the very best in the business! Happy Birthday, Shane!

What a talent, and such a great person. If you haven’t seen the documentary about Diane Warren (which was nominated for an Academy Award), RELENTLESS, check it out.
Happy birthday to the Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren! Warren wrote the song "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" for #Armageddon, which was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars.
Fun film IMHO and how great it was to work with such an incredible cast including Mandy Patinkin and the late James Caan and Terence Stamp!

Pete Kleinow was such an amazing guy. His work creating the Terminator stop-motion animation was spectacular, and then I was blown away watching him play pedal steel guitar at the Palomino. Truly one of a kind. I was blessed to have known him.
Remembering the extraordinary Peter Kleinow today on his birthday. Kleinow was best known as "Sneaky Pete Kleinow", the pedal steel guitarist from The Flying Burrito Brothers, but he was also a talented stop motion artist who worked on #TheTerminator and #T2JudgmentDay!
