I’m not too fussed about the Fleetwood result, but over the last few days, there's been an anger growing in me because everyone could see the problems we were creating for our squad during the summer window. Why are there fans who are always blind to the real issues and want to defend even the most idiotic decisions by the club? How did people defend selling Trossard, Martinelli, and Jesus without bringing in replacements? Those are the people I’m annoyed with. @Arsenal

Well, being the current PL champions and currently joint top of the league means people see this for what it is: a massive cup upset. It happens. In United's case, it was part of a longer trend of underperforming. You were knocked out of every cup at the first time of asking and finished just above relegation the year before, etc., etc.

Interesting lesson for Max Dowman, appears Mikel had warned him pre game he would be targeted and not to react. This will happen a lot to Max in his career. I’m sure yesterday there was a bollocking from the boss, today will be reflection, empathy and learning.
