£100m spent curtailing wind on just 6 days alone in February means approx. 580,000 MWh of wasted wind energy in this timeframe. This equates to approx. 10.4m kg of green hydrogen worth more than £100m.
We need market reform to stop relentless price cap rises.
It cost billpayers £100m to turn off wind farms in the last week.
No wonder generators don't want locational pricing.
This isn't Octopus vs incumbents, it's consumers vs producers.
