Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church

A few of our favorite moments from our 2026 Fall Festival! 🍂🎃 A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers, supporters, and everyone who helped make this year's festival such a success. We couldn't have done it without you!

Fall Festival is THIS Wednesday! 🍂🎃 Come hang out with us October 28 from 5:30–7:30 PM for an evening of fall fun at HAB. Bring the whole family. Everyone is welcome! 🧡

Day in Athens! 🇬🇷 Our HAB travelers spent the day exploring the ancient city of Athens, visiting the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Mars Hill, where the Apostle Paul shared his message with the Athenians. 💙

Another incredible day walking through the places where Paul lived, taught, and shared his faith. 🇬🇷

What an incredible journey! 🇬🇷💙 A group from HAB is currently in Philippi, Greece, following in the footsteps of St. Paul and experiencing the places and stories of our faith firsthand. We’re keeping our travelers in our prayers as they continue their pilgrimage! 🙏

We may be a little biased, but we think we have one of the most beautiful sanctuaries around. And it’s even better when it’s filled with our church family. ⛪ 11:00 a.m. - Worship | Sanctuary 👋 12:00 p.m. - Meet & Greet | Narthex 🙏 12:30 p.m. - Congolese Worship | Chapel

Yesterday was one of our favorite days at HAB. 🐾 We gathered on the lawn to bless our sweet animals and give thanks for all the love, joy, and companionship they bring into our lives. Thank you to everyone who brought their beloved pets to our Blessing of the Animals! 🐶🐱

Take Wednesday night off from cooking and have dinner with us! 💙 🍽️ October 14 Menu: Poppy seed chicken, white rice, buttered peas & carrots, mixed green salad with lemon vinaigrette + lemon cream cake. Make your reservation by Monday by emailing Rachel at [email protected]

Furry, feathered, slimy… all are welcome for our Blessing of the Animals! Join us THIS Sunday, October 11 at 5 p.m. on the front lawn. Bring your beloved pets and meet us for a special time of blessing together.

Looking for a Sunday morning Bible study? 📖 The Discovery Class is currently working through a six-week study of Adam Hamilton’s The Call: The Life and Message of the Apostle Paul. The class meets Sundays at 9:45 a.m. Come join the conversation - everyone is welcome!

This Sunday, October 4, is World Communion Sunday at HAB, a day that reminds us of the connection we share with Christians around the world. Come as you are. There’s a place for everyone at HAB.

For 20+ years, HAB has been cooking and serving meals at Sulzbacher, and we’re proud of that legacy. 💛 Volunteers are needed on the 3rd Monday of each month to cook from 2–4 PM or serve from 4–5 PM. Want to be part of the next 20 years? Email Joyce at [email protected].

Sunday mornings are about to get a little louder. 🎶🎤 MIC DROP (Music In Christ) is where kids can sing, move, learn, and have FUN while exploring music and faith together. Bring the kids to the gym Sundays from 9:45–10:45 AM for music, a lesson, and plenty of fun!

Fall Festival is coming up, and we’re looking for volunteers! 🎃🍂 Interested in helping? Find Chelsea at church or email [email protected].

Join us as we dive into 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘞𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘚𝘦𝘦 by Anthony Doerr, an unforgettable novel that earned both the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the 2015 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction!

A reminder we all need from time to time. Joy isn't about pretending life is easy - it's choosing hope even when we know it's complicated. If you're looking for a place to grow in faith, find community, and be reminded of that hope, we'd love to welcome you.

Looking for a fun way to kick off your week? 🏓 Join us every Monday from 5:30–7:00 PM for pickleball at HAB! Whether you're a seasoned player or trying it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Bring a friend and come have some fun. We'll see you on the court! 💙

We're not a regular church... we're a cool church. 😎

We're looking for a few more helping hands! 💙 HAB Church is in need of a few additional cashier volunteers for our Wednesday night dinners and other church meals.

Today we’re sending Daniel Butron back to North Carolina as he begins his second year at Duke Divinity School. 💙 Daniel, thank you for spending your summer with us at HAB. We are so grateful for the time we shared with you and know God has great things ahead.
