We’re starting a hardship fund for our graduate students to help mitigate strain on striking @hgsuuaw members - if you want to help the workers who do so much for us, click the link below! opencollective.com/hccydsa

We’re proud to announce the campaign to unionize non-tenure-track faculty and researchers within Harvard University—we are Harvard Academic Workers - UAW! We unite ~6000 workers across all 12 Harvard schools. 🧵

On the day their contract expires, we're here with @32BJSEIU custodial workers demanding a fair contract & that goes up at least with cost of living (2% is a pay cut!!)
Amazing to be here with custodians & great community members, from @hgsuuaw, @HUCTW, @harvardslam, & @HCYDSA

Today - 1PM - Cambridge Common!
Show up in solidarity with @hgsuuaw, @32BJSEIU, @BDSA_Labor and other local union and DSA chapters as we call on Harvard one last time to negotiate in good faith. Otherwise, we will see you on the picket line! 🌹

Reminder: you can contribute NOW to the Hardship Fund for our workers at linktr.ee/HCCYDSA! You’ll see it under our ‘Union Strong!’ tab right when you land on the site, where you can also sign the petition in support of our custodians at 32BJ SEIU!
Happy to have been able to host the likes of our elected leaders @MikeConnollyMA, Congresswoman @AyannaPressley, @qzondervan, @erika4rep and others out in solidarity with @32BJSEIU, @hgsuuaw and the plight of workers all around Harvard and Boston this afternoon. Solidarity! 🌹
It’s outrageous that Harvard is only offering a 2% “raise” to its custodians when the endowment saw a 33.6% increase last year. I’m here in solidarity with @harvardslam @32BJSEIU @HUCTW @hgsuuaw @HCYDSA @RepPressley, et al. to demand a good contract for @Harvard’s 800 custodians.

Workers on the @harvard campus are not giving up. The University made $13 billion (up 25%) on their endowment last year, but are offering workers no more than a 2% raise. @hgsuuaw @HCYDSA @32BJSEIU #Strikesgiving

Our finalized lineup for today's rally (noon @ JH statue!) is, frankly, stacked-- Harvard custodians, local organizers, union leadership from @32BJSEIU and @hgsuuaw, as well as Representative @MikeConnollyMA and Congresswoman @AyannaPressley. Fight for fair wages in <2 hrs! -WS
Tomorrow - rallying for @32BJSEIU alongside the likes of @MikeConnollyMA, @AyannaPressley, @hgsuuaw, @BDSA_Labor and local labor alike to demand the same: @Harvard - it’s time to pay your workers a living wage!
Make sure to also sign the petition at bit.ly/SEIUPetition 🌹
