When I was a kid, I’d make musical instruments for my Barbies. Then I’d rig up their hands with threads, and make them drum, play piano etc. at a Christmas concert. I remember being genuinely shocked when my human guests left after 1-2 songs. Like, this is a BARBIE CONCERT?!

I’d have my 1980s tape of MiniPops Christmas carols playing on tape deck. Barbies and Kens would be propped up and jamming — their little hands taped to toothpick drumsticks. (I had to loosen their joints first so their arms would neatly rise when I yanked on their threads.)
