As we reflect on a really meaningful #DownsSyndrome Awareness Day in our service, we want to share this story from Lucy, our wonderful Parent/Carer Peer Mentor, about her beautiful daughter Oti… 🧵
“She is strong, beautiful, cocky, hilarious, loud and knows no bounds. She has a huge load to carry on those little shoulders, a constant fight to change society’s perception of those with a disability, and strive for a world of inclusivity and equality for all.”
Have a look at our newly designed Quarterly Newsletter which includes service updates, information on our Spring Workshops Programme, as well as other interesting information, events and activities.
Christmas is a joyous time of the year full of excitement and magic, but for some children it can bring some additional challenges. So we just wanted to share this page from our Winter Newsletter from last Christmas which provides some tips to help.
Please see our latest Newsletter for some exciting news and some really lovely activities you can try for yourselves and with your children.
We hope that everyone enjoys celebrating #ChildrenInNeed2022 today. Best wishes from everyone at the Helping Hands Psychology Team
