In the rolling hills of Adams County, Ohio, a 1,348-foot earthen serpent coils across a plateau above Brush Creek—the largest surviving effigy mound in the world.
Incredible ancient history that has survived more than our minds can even comprehend.
Built by the ancestors of today’s Native people (debated as Adena around 300 BCE or Fort Ancient near 1070 CE, possibly both), it holds no burials of its own - although it remains a stunning feat of architecture from ancient people that once roamed and lived the rolling hills of Ohio and beyond!
The serpent's open jaws cradle an oval form while the body aligns directly with the summer solstice sunset.
The coils of the serpent track equinox sunrises and lunar standstills, turning the earth into a living celestial calendar that mirrors the heavens.
The true intent of the serpent mound, which is estimated to have taken hundreds of years (at least) to create, is speculative but the sacred value of the site is clear.
Nearby burial mounds and the ancient meteor crater frame the serpent, creating a larger sacred complex where the living once gathered to honor the cycles of sun, moon, and the underworld - along with celebrations we can only imagine.
These native people were thought to live in seclusion - not gathering in villages or participating in extensive trading or travel. If that is true, however, how are numerous nearby burial mounds erected within vast, multi acreage arenas - built to very similar geometric shape combinations and sizes?
As well as artifacts built within the mounds and the effigy that are from vast distances including current day New Mexico?
I believe that we are so invested in history as we "know it", that we are failing to truly appreciate the sophistication of ancient people.
History should be studied, remembered, protected so that we can learn from it.
Standing there, at the Serpent Mound, the intention feels clear to my limited knowledge: this was a sacred calendar and a living prayer to the serpent—a form beleived to be the guardian of the underworld, death, and rebirth.
The reasoning the location seems clear - an ancient meteor strike and not far from the river. But why the size? The shape? And the sheer effort over hundreds of years to erect this effigy, restore this effigy and protect this effigy so that it has clearly withstood modern man?
We likely will never know for sure.
The remaining energy at the Serpent Mound - as well as the nearby ancient burial mound sites - is incredibly powerful.
Respect the sacred land, honor the energy, breath in history and you won't be disappointed.
History isn’t just about the builders. It’s about the spaces they left behind, the incredible skill they put into creating the sites, the respect they bestowed upon their dead and the sacred land they honored.
And of course whatever still moves through them, waiting to be seen, heard and felt by those sensitive and willing enough to listen.

🚨#BREAKING: A family in Georgia is outraged after they paid to have their 4-year-old pug named Cha Cha euthanized...
...and then MONTHS LATER later saw a photo on Facebook of their dog ALIVE AND WELL with a vet from the animal hospital
The story is wild.
According to the family, Cha Cha the dog got very sick, the vets told them it was organ failure and diabetic ketoacidosis... so the family decided euthanisia was the best course of action.
The family said goodbye in March, paid the bill, and went home grieving.
But according to the family, someone at that hospital was very attached to Cha Cha, because a worker took her home instead.
Months later, Rebecca (the owner of Cha Cha) was scrolling Facebook and saw a photo.
Her words: “I knew scrolling like that’s my dog.”
Even more wild...the vet's husband confirmed it, his wife not only had Cha Cha, but he says the pug was in GOOD HEALTH.
The dog they were told was dying was actually ALIVE and DOING WELL.
But it gets worse.
When the family went to the hospital, managers DENIED IT, Rebecca says they got a LAWYER and won’t talk about it.
Then, the family believes, the hospital put Cha Cha down to hide what happened.
Rebecca’s words:
“The fact that they put a healthy dog down. That’s just sick.”
And this is NOT the first time.
Earlier this year, another family said their cat Annie was supposed to be euthanized at the SAME hospital, and a worker took her home too.
The hospital admitted it “fell short” that time.
And Annie? She was put down too.
So twice now, a dog or cat has been alive and cared for after the family said goodbye.
...this is beyond insane

You can’t even get the story right. Parents did NOT call the police. An official did. Why? Because of a dispute involving PARENTS.
The Winter Park Police Department released a statement:
Police confirmed that nobody was arrested, forcibly removed, or issued a trespass warning.
POLICE WERE NOT CALLED BY AN OPPOSING PARENT, ACCORDING TO THE OFFICIAL REPORT.
They were contacted by an i9 Sports league official who reported a disturbance involving league officials and the child’s PARENTS.
Local reporting identifies that official as Thomas Hayes, a director with i9 Sports. His race has not been verified.
According to police, league officials wanted the family to leave and offered to refund their registration fees. When officers arrived, they were asked to communicate with the family to prevent the disagreement from escalating.
The family says their son was excluded because he played too well. The league disputes that explanation.

She doxxed an ICE officer on Facebook and told people to "blast HER." Then investigators looked at her phone.
Arely Guzman was a real estate agent in Albertville, Alabama, and one of the loudest anti-ICE voices in town.
Her phone showed she was helping move illegal aliens, including Chinese nationals, and handling cash for a smuggling ring run by an inmate in an Oklahoma prison.
She pleaded guilty in federal court this summer.
This week a Texas jury convicted three more members of that same ring. Prosecutors say it made over $5 million.
Their enforcer shot a man, tried to dissolve his body in acid, set it on fire, filmed it, and sent the video to the boss.
That's the operation this "activist" was part of while she was out there trying to sic a mob on an ICE employee.
Next time a Democrat tells you that unmasking ICE agents is about "accountability," remember her name.
