I have learned from @DarthPutinKGB not to believe anything until the Kremlin denies it but I'm sure this is fine. We're all fine here. How are you?
The "problem" is that there is no serious real-world use case for AI in most people's lives. Why pay AI to do something wrong that a human with basic cognitive competence can do right in less time than it takes to send it to the agent and then check its work?
This is my thesis: no one uses AI. I repeat, absolutely no one. We live in a bubble.
Even among my friends who pay for it, when I ask them to open ChatGPT and show me their queries, it’s the same handful of basic things.
Most don’t even know they can upload a photo and ask questions about it. Connecting Gmail so an agent can read and send emails blows their minds. An agent opening a browser and checking them into a flight? They’ve never even heard of it.
The massive challenge right now is adoption, and then getting people who already signed up to actually use what they’re paying for. Most have absolutely zero clue what’s possible.
Imagine the compute shortage when everyone starts using AI like the top 1% of users do today.
This seems to have broken containment and the AI bros are pulling out the usual counterarguments. To address a few:
Why mention flights? Because the thing I'm QTing mentions them. Your AI agent may have neglected to mention that in the summary you had it generate.
Seems like Chrétien and the Ford brothers are the undisputed champions here. Underappreciated is the petition for Stockwell Day to change his name to Doris.
Am I... Am I Catholic?
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
A liberal arts education would have helped whoever press send on this to recognize that banning programs was not the claim being made, understand that this answer confirms the original claim, and then be able to write a coherent response themselves rather than posting AI slop.
This is fake news at its finest.
First off, we’re not ‘banning’ any program. The federal government doesn’t set curriculum or programs.
Here’s the truth: we are holding colleges accountable for leaving students worse off than if they never enrolled. Too many graduates report delaying major life milestones like buying a home or starting a family. Why? Because low return-on-investment programs saddled them with unmanageable debt that was never going to translate into a real-world job.
Federal student loans are not a welfare program for failing college programs. American students deserve education and training pathways that prepare them for the workforce – and transparency about programs that will never pay off.
Not before November 1 in this household! I know there's snow outside, but it's just temporary, it will melt, so it doesn't count! ❄️
Patel's "bestiality should not be automatically disqualifying for entry to the FBI, for either the humans or the animals" t-shirt is raising questions nobody previously thought to ask 😬
PATEL: The previous regulation automatically disqualified any individual who participated in either side of it
KENNEDY: Either side of beastiality? So you disqualified the animal?
PATEL: Well, we have great canines, but we're not going to disqualify them
KENNEDY: I'm trying to understand why you did this. Why did you get into beastiality?
It's no coincidence that the people who most famously recognized Holmes as a scammer fell into one of three categories: other women (Phyllis Gardner, Erika Cheung), didn't meet her in person (John Carreyrou), or were related to another famous malignant sociopath (Tyler Schultz).
The world needs more of this sort of pure joy. I absolutely adore seeing someone who loves the art of historical couture this much.
This is the creepiest trailer I have seen in a long, long time. And here I thought she was spending her last days before going prison bonding with Latest Mark Husband and Please Dont Send Me To Prison Babies #1 and #2 #ElizabethHolmes #Theranos
The 24 Sussex paradox: we want world-class infrastructure and a reputation to match, but aren't willing to pay for it.
Toronto-Quebec high-speed rail project could cost over $150-billion, internal document shows theglobeandmail.com/politics…
This might be one of the most devastating insults ever levelled against Trump, because it's coming from Doug Ford, and he isn't wrong in this assessment.
