What a story to end the week.
Recently our partners @HSTC1 rescued 36 Border Collies from a horrific hoarding case.
The response from the community was overwhelming; there were thousands of applications to adopt these dogs.
Anthony served in the U.S. Navy and was touched by the plight of these poor souls.
Like thousands of others, he put in an application. And he waited.
Last week Anthony's dream came true:
"I was blessed to get a phone call today to receive one of those 36 puppies...and then you approved me, which makes it even that much better."
After six years of captivity, neglect, and abuse, Maverick finally got the freedom ride all shelter animals deserve.
Wishing these two fellas nothing but sunny skies and calm seas! ⚓️☀️
Animals are never too old to be loved. Your gift today will DOUBLE to give them the second chance they need. All gifts to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast are being matched, up to $30,000, now through September 30.
