Our next shipment of the #covidvaccine has arrived!!
KCDPC patients: give us a call/email. We should be able to serve all of our current patients over the next few weeks. You just need to let us know you’re interested!

In Kansas, everyone 16+ will be eligible starting Monday.
Starting Monday, all Kansans (16+) will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. I strongly encourage every Kansan to get the vaccine so we can get back to school, back to work, and back to normal. Find a provider near you with the vaccine here! ⤵️

Have you received health care in Kansas (such as chronic condition management, mental health care or other care) by telephone or video chat since the pandemic began? I'm curious to hear what you thought of the experience. My DMs are open, if you feel like sharing. Thanks! #ksleg

“We don’t know *for certain* how long you’ll be immune.”
&
“It is very likely that, for the vast majority of people, functional immunity is many years or decades.”
...are both true but sound radically different to a worried person/population.
I prefer the optimistic one.
How long will immunity from COVID-19 vaccine last? Let's remember from papers tweeted before, immunity from natural infection & vaccinations across viruses lasts long. Remember: survivors of 1918 flu: memory B cells can stimulate Abs to fight same strain

Thousands of lives have probably already been saved by the vaccines. Yet no one knows they were the one who had their life saved.

Another outstanding piece by my colleague @Dr_A_Edwards. This captures the urban/rural cultural/political dichotomy PERFECTLY.

"It can be hard to stop thinking about the family members who are told about their loved ones’ deaths over the phone. Or thinking: what he could have done differently to save someone’s life?"
