Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

"Michigan Democrats are proud to stand behind @AbdulElSayed as our nominee for United States Senate and in two days we will elect him to serve us in Washington."
Read DNC Black Caucus Chair Virgie Rollins' statement:

ALT “Michigan Democrats are proud to stand behind Abdul El-Sayed as our nominee for United States Senate and in two days we will elect him to serve us in Washington. We are dismayed that Congresswoman Haley Stevens has revealed herself to be a sellout who used Black Michiganders for a political stunt. Congresswoman Stevens has lost her way, and Michiganders know that Mike Rogers is a shill for Trump and has failed Michigan. We are ready to elect Abdul on Tuesday.”

Congresswoman Stevens is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future.
El-Sayed: I have a sense that you all are here today because of the decisions of somebody who's not here right now. I'm just going to tell you, this is a state of 10 million people who deserve a lot better from their government. I'm a lot more focused on the 9,999,998 that are not the ones you guys are talking about
I'm not in the business of driving clicks for you. I'm in the business of trying to solve problems for the people of my state

The Republican Party is the party of Donald Trump.
A vote for Mike Rogers IS a vote for Trump.
I stand with Dr. @AbdulElSayed.

Haley Stevens and her husband manufactured this whole thing so they could endorse Mike Rogers in the final days of the race.
She’s betraying everything she ever claimed to stand for.
It’s a desperate grab for attention from someone nobody will remember after Tuesday.

Three months ago, when Haley barely lost a hard-fought primary and then immediately endorsed @AbdulElSayed, she had an incredibly bright future in Michigan politics, whether Abdul won or lost.
Instead, she's decided to light it all on fire in the final hours of the campaign.
Replying to @samueljrob
Stevens says she’s for investing in Black owned businesses. “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on,” Stevens says.

To my friend, this is not the way. You are damaging your reputation, your credibility, and your future.
Life will always bring disagreements, disappointments, setbacks, and anguish. But it is how we respond to those moments that reveals our character and defines our legacy.
Pain may explain our actions, but it does not excuse them. And disappointment should never become a license to destroy everything we’ve worked so hard to build.
Your actions have the potential to harm folks for generations. Sometimes you have to reflect and simply step back.
But I will tell you this: Trump, MAGA, and Mike Rogers are never the answer.
