Is it perverse that closing schools as a precautionary measure appears to be a bigger story than an actual ceiling collapse? Poor building standards cannot be allowed to be a background issue. It’s dangerous, wastes budgets and inhibits progress. #edutwitter

To show the balance of responsibilities, I think buildings, staffing numbers, finances etc should be on a @educationgovuk @Ofstednews scorecard. Driving up standards has to be met by government in its responsibilities. @bphillipsonMP

Some Aberdeen residents whose homes are set to be demolished due to the presence of the collapse-risk concrete #RAAC say they’ve been told their properties are now worth around £50,000 less than their original value. I’ll have more on this on @bbcradioscot from 8.35am. #bbcgms
