Our Scouts ended this rather different year in style with a Silent Disco in the woods, complete with festive hot chocolate and hot dogs!
It was great to see them in person again, having fun and laughing together!!

It was great to speak to @HWScouts on Zoom as part of work to achieve their @UKScouting World Challenge Badge-we discussed the announcements regarding easing lockdown around Christmas & a wide range of views were expressed-thanks for inviting me to be involved! And good luck!

A huge thank you to @MariaMillerUK for taking the time to spend with us on Zoom tonight! It was fantastic to see the Scouts totally engaged while talking with you and asking questions about being an MP, Coronavirus, Lockdowns and some local topics! Thank you!
We have extended our Orienteering Challenge until this weekend. If you've still got some markers to find, this is your last chance!
WE ARE BACK!!
Fantastic to SEE half of our Scouts out playing games or canoeing last night in our first physical meeting since March and can’t wait time see the other half next week!!

Even without face-to-face Scouting on hold, our members have come together to help get a Necker to our Group Scout Leader. See their efforts here: youtu.be/bjyFsETRues #scouts #neckerchallenge #lockdownscouting @BasingstokeWest @HampshireScouts
Our Cubs have been getting creative to say #ThankYou to all #keyworkers for their amazing and dedicated work during this difficult time. Here is a short montage to say #ThankYouKeyWorkers
Over 40 of us from @HWScouts are taking part in #CampAtHome tonight after a Zoom meeting where we played games, did a scavenger hunt & had a live chat from the brilliant @CaptainKetch! Great to be part of this record breaking night with 84000 others from 67 Countries!
We’ve gathered all of the food from our store, left over from camps & activities. Today it has been donated to the @TrussellTrust #basingstokefoodbank During these uncertain times there are more people reaching crisis point and we’re pleased we can help, even in this small way.

Well done to Hathi and @BasingstokeWest for this evening’s Virtual Campfire!! #bwcampfire
We want to ensure Scouting continues and have just completed our first Virtual Meetings with our Scouts joining us via Video on @zoom_us video conferencing. Was good fun and we're already looking forward to next week - after tomorrow's virtual campfire from @BasingstokeWest
