Dave’s last thoughts of the night.. it’s a controversial one. 👇 Jason Arday is dead. Zero compassion for him. This man built an entire career and a lucrative public profile on a mountain of proven lies — fabricated life stories, exaggerated charity fundraising figures, false academic claims, and a memoir full of unverifiable tales. He made serious money off those deceptions. In any normal world that level of sustained fraud would eventually have drawn police attention. Instead he resigned only when the scrutiny became unbearable. Cambridge University also bears real responsibility. They appointed him their youngest Black professor, celebrated the story, and waved through the background without proper checks. They took his word at face value because it fitted a convenient narrative. That institutional failure enabled everything that followed. His family are the real victims here. Suicide doesn’t just end one life — it wrecks the people left behind. They now have to live with the fallout of his choices and the public circus that surrounded them. They deserve privacy and support. He does not.
