This is a great moment in Nova Scotian History! The House of Assembly of Nova Scotia has officially recognised October as the Islamic Heritage month in the province! Thank you @Aliduale1 for your contribution and commitment to our Muslim community!

This past week, all MLAs supported my motion to recognize October as Islamic Heritage Month. Nova Scotia is home to a vibrant Muslim community. While we celebrate their contributions, we must also work to dismantle the discrimination the community faces.
We @JoeHoweSchool would like to thank All In Star Quality Renovations for being a great community partner and taking our outdoor benches from…to…

Can you believe there are only 9 days left in Ramadan? Laylat al-Qadr marks the last 10 days of the holy month and is known as the Night of Power. It is during one of the off-numbered nights that the Quran was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) @JoeHoweSchool

You can definitely feel the Ramadan spirit at @JoeHoweSchool! Grade 5’s and 6 prayed Duhur prayer together. (Noon prayers) During Ramadan you can greet someone by saying “Ramadan Mubarak” which means “have a blessed Ramadan.” @HRCE_NS
