If you’re interested in fighting for good health and avoiding dementia, I put together a handout on some of the things we’re doing in our assisted living homes.

Over the Christmas Holidays a wonderful young lady (@ashliefromearth) and her husband came down from Portland, Oregon to film what we are doing at our assisted living homes. She put her autoimmune disease into remission with the carnivore diet and wants to help spread the word. Here is a teaser of what she is putting together. I am so grateful for people like her.
Please like and share this film she put together so others can know it's never too late to start healing.🧵
What "lifestyle first" means to me:
- Morning sun and fresh air
- Real food, with protein at every meal
- Daily movement, even a hallway walk
- People around the table
It's not anti-medicine. It's asking whether food, movement, light and company can help before adding another pill, with the doctor in the loop.
I'm curious. If you're on a carnivore diet, have you notice the number of times you have cold or flu symptoms has decreased? I can think of only one time I had the sniffles since I had Covid in 2021 just before I started going carnivore.
I've talked to some carnivore friends and all of them say their colds have decreased to practically nothing. What say you?
High blood pressure is one of the most common chronic conditions in older adults.
And a big 2025 trial just added to the evidence that treating it may protect the brain too. A thread from someone who runs assisted living homes. 🧵
Takeaway: blood pressure is something you can measure, track and change.
If you or a parent hasn’t had it checked recently, that’s a simple first step. Bring the numbers to the doctor.
Not medical advice.
If you’re looking for a small, caring home for a parent in the Surprise/Goodyear AZ area, I’d be glad to talk. A Paradise for Parents. DM me anytime.

Your brain makes one of the most powerful psychedelics on Earth.
Right now. As you read this.
It’s called DMT. And a new documentary is digging into why.
DMT Quest 2 hits IMAX Tue 11/17/26 in Austin, TX. @dmt_quest
This is the trailer. My thread will talk about the first film. 🧵
What if DMT is the missing link behind spiritual experiences?
What if there’s a biological basis for them?
What if mental health is a few short years of research away?
What implications could DMT have for cognitive issues?
Big questions. Almost no funding.
That’s the quest. Hopefully this new film will help raise awareness.
DMT Quest 2 is the sequel that’s been 5+ years in the making.
IMAX World Premiere
Tuesday, 11/17/26
Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre, Austin, TX

Repost if you want this research funded.
I run assisted living homes in Goodyear and Surprise AZ. People ask me constantly: “Can dementia be prevented?”
The honest answer: not always. But the latest research says a lot more of it is within our control than most of us were told. 🧵
What I see every day: the residents who still move, eat well, and have people around them tend to do better.
Especially those that have a great attitude and love to go outside to enjoy that Arizona sun.
That’s not a study. It’s just what I see. But it’s why I care about this stuff.
Not medical advice. Talk to your doctor.
