Fuck you Jontay Porter
The NBA and prominent sportsbooks have agreed to ban multiple types of bets, per me and @DavidPurdum, such as:
- Parlay bets involving the under on the same player's statistics
- "First of" market; examples: winner of opening tip, an individual's specific shot, rebound, assist, steal
- Under bets on players expected to play less than 12 minutes a game

He also is ghosting me after I bet him on this exactly. Dude is a scammer who doesnt know ball.
I have had my account restricted on @Polymarket US now for over a month. I have reached out to support everyday for weeks now waiting for an update. They have not provided one to me. I submitted identity verification 2.5 weeks ago and still no update. I have made only 1 prediction on my account which was Jackson Koivun to win the Wyndham Championship. No shady stuff or insider trading to warrant locking down my account for this long.
I didn’t plan on calling them out on social media but it’s going on 1.5 months for an incredibly simple ID verification to unlock me that takes 10 minutes max to do.
If anyone has VIP hosts connects that can get this routed up to the right person to unlock my account - I would greatly appreciate it. Please DM me if you can help.
Yes, the media will vote for him. Yes, you are an extreme casual if you think Cooper Flagg deserves ROY
Translation: A very large group of people were playing the same slips exploiting our correlation matrix and we decided to just not allow it until we fix it

Hey! We wanted to follow up regarding this. We sent this over to our internal team and they are looking into it. Please note that this is not the intended experience you should be experiencing, and we are actively working on a solution. We appreciate your feedback!

The fight to restore the 100% gambling loss tax deduction continues.
I’ve introduced the #FAIRBETAct as an amendment to the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
I strongly encourage the Republicans to make this amendment in order when it goes before the House Rules Committee upon our return to Congress next month.
Had a great time at BetBash meeting some old and new friends. Overall, an amazing event to network at thanks to @spanky and @CircaLasVegas . There’s something for all types of bettors there whether that be a partnership, information, or just making a meaningful connection 🤝

Hey @MikeCrapo just so you are aware, the professional sports bettors and poker players who currently pay gambling taxes operate on very slim margins.
By only allowing professional to deduct 90% of losing wagers these gamblers are now going to be unprofitable and will not be able to wager for a living anymore.
Example -> a pro sports bettor who has a break even year and has 50 million in wins and 50 Million in losses is now expected to only be able to deduct 45 Million of these losses and will be forced to pay taxes on 5 million in earnings that they never actually made.
There are countless examples of this both small and large like this but that is the big picture.
The USA and states will lose 100s of millions of dollars in taxes by putting the professionals who actually are the ones paying the gambling taxes out of work
This will affect casinos and sports betting apps from the smallest to the largest positions. This bill will put a lot of people out of work and will have some pretty big consequences
This gambling section of the BBB needs to be revisited and revised. As this bill is currently written this is worse than the Boston Tea party saga.

Yikes.
Senate Amendment to the Big Beautiful Bill =
You get taxed on more than you earned from gambling, even if you netted $0 (or less!).
Here's how it works and what you can do...
The change
If it passes in this form, starting in 2026, gambling losses (and expenses) will only be 90% deductible (and still only up to your total winnings).
What this means in plain English
If you win $100k and lose $100k – You’ll owe tax on $10k of “phantom” income.
If you win $100k and lose $50k – You actually profited $50k, but you’ll owe tax on $55k.
If you win $100k and lose $150k – No tax owed (your deduction is capped at $100k, which is more than 90% of $150k ($135k)).
(Editing in from my post below because it's important:
A pro who earns $200k/year might have $3m in winnings and $2.8m in losses.
This means earning $200k and being taxed as if they earned $480k.)
This applies to both recreational and professional gamblers.
For pros, your travel, coaching, software, etc. are lumped into the “loss” bucket and still subject to the 90% cap.
What to do
Pulling from @russcfox's post:
"If you don't like this (and I don't), and if you have a GOP Congressman, let them know. (You can find your House representative at house.gov/representatives/fi…) Be respectful in your message, and, yes, they are looked at."
Thank you for breaking the news and keeping poker players posted, Russ!

Guy who is personal friends w @yElff_ put 6k on “Yes”. What does that tell you? 🤷♂️
If you’re getting mad at this guy with $4 units for posting a fliff error that’s been up since yesterday, you need to touch grass 😬
Fliff is having an issue where Duke ML combined with Flagg points totals makes it seem like Illinois ML odds. One bet Duke and over Flagg points and one bet under Flagg points with Duke
It’s not a direct arb. It’s a bet on Duke ML still but necessary to make it such a large bet.
4.77 units split across the two
