There are many things considered ok as banter in football - a kid dying of cancer is not one of them. This kid needs educating at the very least...

Wrong. Any referee can only react to what players are doing, while each and every decision he makes is scrutinised to the nth degree. They simply cannot go unnoticed particularly when the big calls are being made.
A good referee goes unnoticed. @EFL Every single time.

Tweet-worthy stat:- When he scored against Bradford, @udooka11 became the 199th individual player I have seen score for @ReadingFC at home. Roll on the 200th!! #ReadingFC #UTMFD

25 years ago we were knocking around at the top of D2 looking down at "shitty little Brighton" while their fans, without exception in my experience, all said they could/would be massive one day. How we all laughed as they looked at us with unashamed envy...😳😳😳 – at Didcot, England

think it's time to admit that, actually, @BHAFC fans may have been correct. Brilliant owner, brilliant recruitment of both players and managers (with the exception if Sami Hyypia). They are, in equal measure, an annoyingly and exceptionally well-managed club. Kudos to them 👏🏼 – at Didcot, England

1/ At risk of doing @ReadingFC down again, I have to question why they insist on only counting graduating players from the @RFCAcademy? Obtaining Academy status in 1999 was simply an upgrade on the YTS we had in place, and to not recognise the players that graduated from that... – at Oxford, England

2/ ...and the apprenticeship scheme before that seems ahistoric and ignorant at best, and a downright insult at worst. I live in an era that saw Scott Taylor, Archer Lovell & Ady Williams all play a key role in nearly taking RFC to the Prem, alongside numerous others that... – at Oxford, England

Stat for the masses - Jack Marriott is only the 2nd player in @ReadingFC history to score a hattrick on the opening day of a league season, after Tony Macphee got 4 in a 5-1 win against @CPFC at the start of 1948/49 – at Didcot, England

Puto de mierda carries an interesting translation, and he's chosen to use it after the England game. It'd be interesting to know if the FA are able to do anything for this sort of thing given they want to stamp out homophobia in English football... – at Didcot, England

I wonder how things would turn out if Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane were on camera singing something like "we never forget those Argie cunts trying to take the Faklands" 🤔🤔 – at Didcot, England
DISGUSTING 🤮 Messi sings along and jumps to Lautaro Martínez singing a racist song directed at England "I haven't forgotten those f*cking English over the Malvinas"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is from March 2023, showing Argentine players after a Brazil match singing a chant that includes a Malvinas line. x.com/TyCSports/stat… Similar Malvinas chants have been used in 2026 WC contexts. mirror.co.uk/sport/football…

Good that RFC have listened to fans, but this DOES NOT address the core issue - loyalty points should be based on how many games you attend, not how much you pay for a subscription! Equalise loyalty points for all tickets and you've got me back. Until then, I'm not returning.
Introducing One Royal Lite A new low-cost annual membership designed to give more supporters access to Loyalty Points and priority ticket access.  Find out more about our new tier 👇
