One of our favorites here (X) was @joebonsall of @oakridgeboys. Since hearing of his passing, we've been trying to think of something we could say. Obviously, we were already Oaks fans, but also always looked forward to Joe's tweets and cat photos. R.I.P. Sir

Ponch
Fifteen years ago a friend showed up at my doorstep and said, “here Kenny, you need to learn to attach to something.” That’s the day Poncho entered my life.
I’ve heard a dog enters your life when you need it most. And not just any dog, a specific dog just for you. To help you, to heal you, to show you how to accept unconditional love and give it back.
Poncho did all that and more. He brought so much joy, energy, light, and fun into mine and Mary’s life.
He was a constant companion, very curious, had swagger, and smarter than the average human.
He loved being on the boat, the bus, backstage with Jill and the production team. He loved the smell of the ocean and the islands like his dad and loved all the smells walking down the streets of Key West, Florida.
One of his proudest moments was prancing on stage at Soldier Field in Chicago in 2024. I thought it would scare him but he loved feeling the energy of the crowd and refused to leave the stage. Instead of being timid, he was a show off a lot like me. That was a favorite moment in 15 years of favorite moments.
We lost Poncho at 5:15am this morning and my heart is broken but yet so full cause I know he gave us all he had. We went down a lot of roads, lived a lot of life, and saw a lot of sunsets together.
Poncho, my friend was right. I needed you and I thank you. Our connection and our bond will live forever and I’m gonna miss you. Say hello to DaRubaGirl for us.
Goodbye Poncho.
You were one heaven of a dog.

Dominic lerace, known simply to generations of working-class households as Dahnnie, passed away at 83 after a quiet, three-year battle with bladder cancer.
He was the sonic heartbeat of a culture defined by grittiness, loyalty, and an unshakeable connection to the soil from which it grew.
To understand Donnie Iris is to understand the geography of the Beaver Valley and the distinct lilt of the Pittsburgh dialect. He wasn't a product of Hollywood slickness or New York corporate curation. Born in New Castle and raised in Ellwood City, he belonged entirely to the landscape of brick row houses, church basements, and neighborhood clubs. His music wasn't just entertainment; it was a reflection of the people who filled the mills, staffed the local diners, and packed the Beaver Falls taverns six nights a week.
He announced his retirement just weeks ago after playing at The Wylie in the Pittsburgh historic Hill District.
Godspeed, my friend Godspeed 💔
Happy Birthday @TheLeeGreenwood!

I was so sad to hear that my good friend @johnanderson has passed away. I just saw him on Sunday at the Hall of Fame Induction. I hugged him and told him that I loved him, and he told me that he loved me too. I just can’t believe he’s gone from this life, but I know where he is, he’s with Jesus!! John was one of the greatest singers and he had the most unique voice in Country Music. I will miss his big smile and big hug!!

I love artists that are identifiable the moment you hear them. It's a rare gift, and John was a perfect example. I became an instant fan before we moved to town. In his case, it's no cliché to say that he was truly one of a kind. I'm so proud to have worked with him on the road and become friends. His passing leaves a gaping hole in originality. Sheila and I were so proud and happy to be with him when he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2024.
May God bless his family in this hour of sadness. We'll all miss you, brother.

There is too much for me to say about John Anderson in just a statement. I am sick and I am stunned. But I am a very lucky man. I got the opportunity to find out that my hero wasn’t just the guy I hoped he’d be. He was so much more than that. John was my friend. I got to see him last Sunday and I don’t even know why but I told him I loved him. That is what fills my heart in this moment. My love and prayers go out to John’s family. This one really hurts.

Oh no!! John this is sad to hear. The pride of Apopka Florida. As country as it gets. I opened for him and Tanya Tucker in Ft Lauderdale once at an outdoor amphitheater in the late 80’s and he showed up like 15 minutes late because he was out fishing in the swamp and lost track of the time! He got out of the SUV in all camo covered in mud, showered, went out and killed it! So many great songs. “I wish I coulda been there” one of my favorite. God Bless the black sheep of the family, John Anderson. RIP😍
I've just learned that my favorite country artist of all time, and a man I called "Uncle John" for the past 20 years has passed away. The great and unmatched John Anderson...He loved Jesus, and his family and his country. He was a massive influence on me in more ways that I can count. I love you, Uncle John.
