I spoke to @Capitol_Forum about a maddening finding they made: life insurers Guaranty Income Life and John Hancock are reporting to regulators that they conducted a reinsurance transaction with Commonwealth Annuity and Life...but Commonwealth isn't reporting offsetting reserves.
