NEW | 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 US Central Command has plans for possible strikes on Iran as early as November 4, immediately after the midterm elections. That doesn't mean Trump has authorized a new military campaign. Washington is still weighing military action, continued economic pressure and a diplomatic agreement. Separately, Israel has shared intelligence with Washington and Gulf governments suggesting Iran may be considering the use of chemical weapons. Some US officials take the warning seriously, while others question its credibility or see it as an attempt to persuade Washington to resume major combat operations. Gulf officials have also expressed skepticism.

Looks like something big is happening tonight in #Israell and #Iran
Bomb shelters opening in Israel. One hospital in Jerusalem moving wards underground. Warnings of chemical weapons use. All of these reports happened in the last hour. You should probably brace yourself.

Huh?
🚨🇵🇱 Poland could be heading toward a STATE OF EMERGENCY, and one prominent journalist is warning it could happen as soon as MIDNIGHT. Jacek Karnowski, editor-in-chief of wPolsce24, says trusted sources have warned him that extraordinary measures may be imminent. Poland is already facing a constitutional showdown over the courts, while police and military units are being deployed near the Russian border amid warnings of possible sabotage. Karnowski suspects the government could use the emergency to suppress domestic opposition. That's a serious accusation against Donald Tusk's government. But there's an important distinction: NO OFFICIAL DECISION or evidence of a planned midnight declaration has been presented. For now, it's a WARNING from unnamed sources, not a confirmed state of emergency. Writer: Oliver

The Learjet 60 that crashed in Palm Beach County today went from 35,000 ft to the ground in 76 seconds. I rebuilt the last 3 minutes in 4D from ADS-B, ATC audio, a NEXRAD analysis and dashcam video, then ran the engineering. Here's what the data says, and what it doesn't. 🧵

🇵🇱 For everyone asking what's happening in Poland tonight, here are the key points: 1. The Constitutional Tribunal's leadership has been challenged. Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska issued orders suspending Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice-President Bartłomiej Sochański from their duties for one month. She claims authority to take over the Tribunal's leadership as its most senior judge. 2. Why did she do this? Korwin-Piotrowska accuses the existing leadership of obstructing the work of judges elected by the current parliamentary majority, violating judicial procedures and preventing the proper functioning of the Tribunal. She also raised concerns about the court's 2027 budget. 3. The Tribunal rejects the orders. Its existing leadership says the official website was illegally taken over and insists that Święczkowski remains president. The legality of Korwin-Piotrowska's decisions is disputed. 4. Police entered the building. Following the announcement, demonstrators gathered outside the Tribunal. Tensions escalated, with some people reportedly climbing over the fence and throwing objects at police officers. Police intervened and several people were detained. 5. Why is this Tribunal so important? The Constitutional Tribunal determines whether laws and other legal acts comply with Poland's Constitution. Its decisions can affect legislation, government actions and the country's entire legal system. Control over its leadership therefore has major constitutional and political significance. 6. This conflict has been building for months. Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government and President Karol Nawrocki have been locked in a dispute over the Tribunal's composition. Nawrocki refused to swear in three judges elected by parliament, while the Tribunal's existing leadership refused to allow judges appointed by the current parliamentary majority to take their seats. Tusk's government does not recognise the Tribunal's legitimacy and has refused to publish some of its rulings, citing controversial judicial appointments made under the previous PiS government. 7. Political reactions are escalating. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński called on President Nawrocki to intervene, accusing Tusk's government of turning Poland into a police state. Nawrocki cancelled his trip to Senegal and announced that he is returning to Poland. Tusk, meanwhile, says restoring the rule of law is a difficult but necessary process. The situation is still developing. Both sides dispute the legality of the actions taken, and the legal authority behind the latest orders remains unresolved. Poland is now facing one of its most serious institutional confrontations in recent years. What happens next will depend on whether the two sides can resolve this dispute through legal and constitutional channels or whether the standoff escalates further. For now, Warsaw remains at the centre of a crisis that could have far-reaching consequences for the country's institutions and political future.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED IN WARSAW IN THE LAST FEW HOURS — IN ORDER: → Riot police in helmets and shields move onto the grounds of Poland's Constitutional Tribunal, the court that checks laws against the Constitution → The court's website says its president and vice-president are suspended for one month — not by parliament, by one judge President Nawrocki refused to swear in, who now takes over → Nawrocki, over Spain on his way to Senegal, turns his plane AROUND and heads back to Warsaw → The court's own X account answers — the website was unlawfully taken over, that judge "is not a judge" and everyone involved is committing a COUP → The justice minister asks to lift both men's immunity — and sends 50 volumes of case files to that same judge Nawrocki's reason, in his own words: "At such a moment, the President must be in Poland." Not a scheduled return. Not a technical stop. Nawrocki heard what was happening at one court — and the whole Senegal trip waited. That's the sequence. And the list of people in that fight tells you everything about what this night is actually about: → A suspended vice-president shut outside a gate locked from inside, saying "a coup is happening" → An opposition that says police stormed the building and closed every entrance on Prime Minister Tusk's orders — "from today Poland becomes a police state" → A prime minister who calls it restoring the rule of law: "There is no other way" Police answer: no officer is inside the building, only on the outer grounds. They say that same judge warned of "threats" to judges and staff, objects were thrown at officers and 3 people were detained for jumping the fence. The fight underneath: parliament elected new judges, Nawrocki refused to swear in some of them and the court's president kept them off the bench. The government says it is securing the site during that fight. Its justice minister: "the state must protect the judges." This isn't just a court dispute. It's a constitutional crisis on wings — and it turned a presidential plane around over Spain because Nawrocki wasn't done fighting. One court. Two people claiming to run it. One month on the suspension order. Tag the friend who swears a court fight like this could never happen inside the EU.
