Mormons are Christians: the evidence
In April 1985, Bruce R. McConkie, an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, stood at the pulpit while cancer was killing him. He used what strength he had left to testify of Christ. Thirteen days later he was dead.
He did not spend his last public words on a creed or a program.
He spent them on Gethsemane, on the cross, and on the empty tomb. He spoke as a man who knew he would soon stand before the Savior he was describing.
“I am one of his witnesses.”
Please just watch the video.
Then look at how Mormons live, how they serve, and how they worship. Then tell me they are not Christians.
They take communion every Sunday and promise to always remember Him.
They are baptized in His name, they pray in His name, and His name is on the sign of every chapel they build.
Their book was written to convince the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, and its prophets talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, and preach of Christ to the last page.
They send their sons and daughters to the ends of the earth at their own expense to tell strangers about Him.
They go hungry once a month so the poor can eat, and when disaster hits, the yellow shirts show up before the cameras do.
You can argue with their theology all day, but you cannot argue with a people who have built their entire lives around a Man they have never seen.
If that is not Christian, nobody is.

One year I was really short on time. My dad and brother came with me during an archery hunt. We had a bull coming in within 10 minutes. I shot the bull and it ran down the logging road, jumped the barbwire fence, and died next to my truck. We loaded him whole, thanked God, and left. Sometimes things work out the way you need them to.
Dropping off a missionary at the airport is hard. I thought it was supposed to get easier with each one but it feels the opposite.
Gas prices are at an all-time high but we are almost $50 a barrel lower than what the all-time high 2008 prices were. Not to mention the advancements in technology. Somebody is raking us over the coals.
This sweet daughter of mine who struggles in every way but has the most positive attitude, made her first joke yesterday and I loved it.
She was outside with my 18-year-old and there were flies flying around her and bugging her. She can't really get away without some assistance but she told my son "Walker, I know it's Monday, but it feels like a Flyday."
Proud dad moment.
If you’re willing, I’d love to invite you to church this Sunday—whether that’s in my area or yours. If you’d rather not go alone, I probably know someone near you who’d be happy to go with you.

You already have the hardest part of a business.
The people.
If you’re in a role where you’ve spent years earning trust — clients, coworkers, vendors, community contacts — you know how rare that is. You also know how frustrating it is when that network sits inside a job that doesn’t feel like yours anymore.
That’s the gap FIG was built for.
FIG (fignow.com) helps independent professionals turn existing relationships into a Property & Casualty insurance business they actually own. You don’t have to walk away from the people you already like working with. You get to keep serving them — while building something with your name on it and for your future.
What that looks like in practice:
You stay close to the network you’ve already built
You launch as an independent producer or start your own agency with us and
FIG brings the backbone: 138+ carrier partners, support across 26 states, technology, systems, and a path that doesn’t make you invent the infrastructure from scratch
If we are not in your state, give us a reason to move into your state and we can make it happen
Commission splits go up to 90%, so the book you build is yours in a real way
You get a family-style network of agents instead of another corporate silo
This is not “quit tomorrow and start cold-calling strangers.”
It’s for the person who already has conversations every week with people who would rather work with you than with a company logo. Insurance is how you keep helping them — protecting them and their needs — while the equity starts accruing to you instead of to an employer.
If you’re good with people, tired of building someone else’s company, and ready to own the relationships you’ve already earned, look at FIG.

Worth a conversation if you’ve been quietly thinking: I like the people. I just don’t want this job forever.
From my disabled daughter. She melts my heart.
“Mom, when Jesus comes again and I walk, I’m gonna take Goose for a walk all by myself.”
