Growing up, I spent thousands of hours playing every game under the sun: RuneScape, COD, Zelda, LoL, AOE, Halo, Uncharted, CIV, OG SWB, the list goes on and on. It wasn’t cool back then but it didn’t matter. Our love for games ran deep, and it has all led to this. LFG

I read this WSJ piece wsj.com/articles/coinbases-l… by @aosipovich , who pointed out what a lot of us in the industry are thinking— $COIN 's pressure to lower fees. Yes, this is a problem, but it's not the right problem to solve for Coinbase, or any exchange. Here's why:

To fight on providing the best bid or offer, the endgame would be whoever can provide access to the undiscovered prices and liquidity wins the trading pie, not whoever have the lowest fees. Therefore, robust market making in this space is long overdue.
