This scene is actually a masterpiece. The creative way of walking through the cafeteria introducing all the main players works well because Popeye is connected to all of them through his business or theirs.
Also it's creative with the use of different actors, their ways of speech and as a result the scene as a whole tells you everything you need to know about the characters without any deep detail.
Red Ryder has got to be the most fascinating character here.

Laurence Fishburne played Morpheus in The Matrix. In 2010, his 19-year-old daughter made a porn film for Vivid, the company behind Kim Kardashian's tape.
His friends pooled $1 million to buy up every copy. They were too late. Vivid's CEO said the DVDs had already shipped.
Montana Fishburne said getting the deal was easy. "I made the phone call and they know who I am," she said, "cuz who my dad is."
Her father stopped talking to her. Montana told TMZ he said he wouldn't speak to her until she turned her life around.

She says she wants him to be proud of her. Then she's asked about the $1 million.

Vivid paid Kim Kardashian a reported $5 million to settle over her tape. Laurence Fishburne's friends offered $1 million to make his daughter's disappear.
Was she brave for owning it, or did she burn her father's name for a few weeks of fame?
